This is great to know. As i have also wondered about this being an artist who wants to get his music out to the masses. So going exclusive I have always assumed you give up everytying. Good to know and i will be on the look out for libraries that offer similar perks.Casey H wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 4:02 pmThat is definitely a valid approach. Songs for Film/TV are not always the same as those as artists. Lyrical contact has to be more universal for Film/TV and as an artist, you don't have to be as concerned with who you sound like (the infamous "a la").cosmicdolphin wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 2:11 pmThe best answer may be to keep your artist and your sync projects separate to each other. Or if you only want to do artist music then find a sync agent to represent your work.
I want to mention though that I work with 2 excellent Taxi-friendly exclusive libraries who let you do anything you want non-sync with the songs they sign.
Best,
Casey
What is meant by exclusive? Can it appear on my album?

Re: What is meant by exclusive? Can it appear on my album?
I popped unto this topic because I had the same question more or less. If I release a song through a distributor without any strings attached to any publishing or admin, basically just distribute my music and that's it.......can I then sign it elsewhere in the sync world exclusively or non-exclusive?
But reading this post and seeing Casey's answers led to an answer I was already thinking about.
It is probably best to keep the two world's separate.
Artist Single, EP and CD releases and
Sync Music specifically for Sync.
