Sittin on a solo self-booked tour in Duluth :)
SO I'm hanging out in Duluth, about to play a solo show on a self-booked tour that has taught me a TON, not the least of which that I need to rethink my touring strategy All the same, it's been a great learning experience, and I head back to Chicago tomorrow. Just sitting in a cafe and reading the forum, and thought I'd post to see if other people have fun solo tour stories. I feel like it's a bit of a pilgrimage, since I'm the only one here I know, which is really cool and incredibly thought-provoking, yet of course a bit lonely as well.Yay for TAXI for keeping me company at these moments Hope all's well with all of you,Bri

Brian,I'd like to hear more about your tour...how the audiences reacted, how the logistics worked out, etc. It's been awhile since I played in coffeehouses. I am wondering how things have changed, if at all.

Thanks Ted!! I did indeed get home safe, although I had to drive through 200 miles of snow and rain to do so In the end I got back in time to play the final show, a benefit for kids, so I felt good about it, and they seemed to like the tunes Plus there were a couple people at my show in Duluth that just GOT my music, and it made the gig amazing. I could be playing for 2 people alone, but if they get where I'm coming from, it's the best gig in the world you know? I'll take 3-5 people who understand what I'm saying vs. 100 who don't any day. It was super-duper rewarding.Glen, I'd be happy to chat, PM me!Thanks for listening guys -Bri

Not sure what the specific song is called, but I caught Brian performing one of his tunes at the Big Open stage at the rally.Something about Lime Green Lambroghini's, very cool song, excellent lyrics, great voice. If thats online somewhere, I recommend giving it a listen.

Lime Green Lamborghini is a stellar song, especially the lyric. It's on one of his sites.Quote:Brian MazzaferriSinger/Songwriter/Philosopherwww.brianmazzaferri.comwww.myspace.com/brianmazzaferriQuote:Not sure what the specific song is called, but I caught Brian performing one of his tunes at the Big Open stage at the rally.Something about Lime Green Lambroghini's, very cool song, excellent lyrics, great voice.
