Weird? Or am I...lolI think we'd call this being in the "zone"! There's another thread going on about the Secret (movie) and all, and this reminds me of that "feeling" you're talking about. I came home from a trip to India this fall and had that "feeling" and two big events landed in my lap! They are still in the planning process for 2008, but all is going well (and I can't wait to share them in the Shameless Self Promotion section once they're finalized!). Funny thing is... I've still got that "feeling" going on... I'm with Mazz-- I bet good things are headed down the pipes for you! Raags

Well, Aub, my attitude toward you goes beyond respect, so I will be thrilled for you if you do get the call, but I will not be shocked. But your question makes me want to ask this question: What is the absolutely best musically related call you could receive right now? What kind of stuff do you have out there right at the moment that could be picked up?Not long ago Steve Gilbert handed off a link to someone in some thread or other. Because I was researching headphones to purchase another set, I followed the link and read your post on the Sony vs AKG-240 for mixing and tracking. What was so important to me about that was that those are the two sets I use in my studio. Only I was using the Sony to mix and the AKG to track--just the opposite of what you said was best. Tonight I tried it the other way around for the first time and I liked the results. So thanks for sharing such good information. And thanks to Steve for the nice handoff, something he has become pretty adept at.Now to be honest, I usually have that feeling. I think there is a name for it in psychology. Don't worry unless you are actually hearing voices.

Quote:Okay, I'm not normally all meta-physical-- but the last week or so I have this incredible sense of expectation that something is about to change. Every time my phone rings, I expect it to be "the" call. Maybe it's just post rally buzz, but I've never had such an overwhelming sense that "it" is about to happen (and I'm not even sure what "it" is). At the risk of sounding like some wacko, I just wanted to see if anyone else has had such premonitions that actually came to fruition.I've often felt what I call "the winds of change" as I near a decision point in life, but this particular expectation is unique -- and as far as I know there is no tangible evidence of anything "in the works", but I can almost "feel the deal". Weird? Or am I...lolAub...well... what about "don't WAIT for something to happen - MAKE it happen!"just a thought.when I think back a few years I often waited for "something" to happen - but it didn't really much happen.I know that we can't "make" some things happen, simply because they're out of our control. BUT we can put ourselves in positions WHERE things will happen.cheers, martin
