I don't know much about this song, Larry, so I'll go off topic on you.I am wondering if you know of a country song that has the line "If you're going to throw a little dirt, you're going to lose a little ground?"I saw a gentelman perform this on TV about ten years ago. I liked the song and the guy's guitar playing, but I never heard it even once more. That is the way with a lot of great country songs--you never hear them again but you do hear some song that is inferior to it about ten million times.

George Strait had a song called "Everytime You Throw Dirt On Her ( You Lose A Little Ground)". I bet that's the one you're talking about. It's on the Strait Country album that was released back in 1981. It took a long time for this one to get to number one.... I learned how to play it last April.... might have been even longer ago than that.... its a song from Road and the Radio.... actually released December 2005... it was one of three that they produced a video for the release... the other two being "who you'd be Today" and "Living in Fast Forward"....the other song that went up the chart from this album was "You Save Me".... thats 4 tunes on the charts over more than a year out.... not bad... they must've taken their time picking the tunes.... The only other exception is that I'm not sure if Mexico rhymes with Mexico......ArkJack

I'm good at rhymes me. Though sometimes I do have to resort to research.Still. Apparently the words 'Orange' and 'Silver' do not have any perfect rhymes.

Larry,Hard to say if that is the song without being able to listen. The title is certainly similar. Maybe it was one of the writers that I saw perform it. Does either of those writers play pretty smoking country rock lead?
