For me I have already been recording for a while now so I had songs to submit and was working on a CD as well. So the songs that I had already wrote I make sure that what ever the listing is I make sure that I meet that requirement for the listing.Another thing I also write sometimes based on the listing and what they are asking for as well. I think that the best thing is to is to do is to find out what are you good at writing what is your strong point and then start from there. Don't try to do something that you are not used of doing!Good Luck in your submitting.

It's SO interesting to hear everybody's stories! I joined TAXI specifically to try and pitch the songs that I have aready recorded and published, but since the Rally last month, I have decided to focus (more!) on writing new stuff specifically for the listings. (Since my 'old stuff' doesn't seem to really fit in anywhere, apart from some instrumentals).Like others said, I am (now) looking forward to doing other genres and love to have fun and see how well I can do it on my own,...I mean, at home in my own 'studio', before I consider having any costly demos made. On the new listings this week I found several things that I am going to give a shot. At least I will learn from it. Another good thing about making instrumentals, is that I don't have to worry about lyrics, and since English is not my first language, lyrics can be a bit time consuming (though fun and educational) for me.I know what I am going to do in my Christmas vacation for sure!It will be so much fun! I will not be expecting any forwards just like that, but just waiting for the feedback, and getting it, will be exciting....and educational too I bet! ...and IF I get a forward from doing that...I am SURE you will hear about it, cause that will make me totally....well OK...one thing at a time! LOL...I got carried away for a sec!
