Surprising to me they don't have some sort of scanning situation active.
Not sure where i heard that, probably confused with the higher bmi payout - definitely switching!

There are a lot of re-titles out there (stuff in multiple non-ex libraries) this would make it impossible for a PRO to determine which library got the placement based on a "listening algorithm"

Fair enough! Seems to me that the cue sheet system wouldn’t be the most reliable, I think that’s why I thought there might be a hybrid system with the two in place. Apologies for getting my information confused.

i've been with BMI about a dozen years.

on a couple of occasions, i've considered switching to ASCAP but have been told by people who deal with both PROs that ASCAP is very hard to deal with if there's a mistake you're trying to get corrected.

not first-hand knowledge - just passing along what people i trust told me.
