Question about listing - Classical instrumentals

So this listing says:NEW LISTING -- CLASSICAL/PUBLIC DOMAIN INSTRUMENTALS (Vivaldi to Debussy) are needed by an Independent Record Label who is getting ready to release a compilation CD project with a Major European Distributor. This label has placed TAXI songs on projects distributed by Sony/BMG, Universal, EMI and Warner Music - to name a few. These pieces need to be instrumental only - no vocal or choral arrangements, please! They'll be looking for single tracks in addition to full CDs, so feel free to submit as many as you like for consideration. Any combination of instruments will be considered, from solo to small ensemble to full orchestration. Performances must be outstanding and recordings need to be Master/Broadcast quality. You MUST own your Master recordings, in order to submit for this listing! Please submit 1-3 instrumentals online or per CD. I'll take a stab at it. Perhaps they mean as many as you like, but no more than three. I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and opine that few of us own the rights to unreleased master quality recordings of public domain symphonic classical works; Eastwest Quantum Leap-based recordings are unlikely to make the cut. There are certainly some top quality chamber musicians hereabouts, though.

It means only 3 at one time. In other words: you submit 3, then another 3 and so on. Has to be with the number of squares or dots or whatever on the critique sheet.

Yep! There's no limit as long as it is in "batches" of three

I was wondering about this listing too. How many of us happen to have convincing mockups of traditional classical pieces? And where is the audience for an entire CD of classical mockups? It seems a recipe for disappointment.I was wondering about submitting the following Bach piece, although it was designed for an earlier Taxi listing calling for electronica versions of classical pieces:http://www.richardemmet.com/Listen_file ... r-bach.mp3 I don't know if it's worth submitting for this listing.Richard

Hi Richard,Your Bach arrangement is really neat! I enjoyed it.The listing is unclear whether stylistic interpretations are welcome. It seems to me that they are asking for traditional orchestral instruments in any combination as opposed to stylistic variations.It may be best to ask Taxi to clarify the intent.Best regards, Al

Richard, I love it, but I dont think this is what they are asking for this time. Other times they have asked for classical pieces in arrangements other than the originals. As the second one, which in my book could also mean "quirky" as in "Hush little Baby", ha ha!Nah! is a Korg TR. I would go for something shorter than the Goldbergs, tho. Have the feeling this is for one of those Classical compilations you buy at Walmart for $3.99 like "The most famous classical pieces"
