Mazz,Definitely has all the right elements for this listing. Enough energy and momentum, but still could be used as a backing track to a voiceover and be unobtrusive. Good tension and release as well.Is the drum track Stylus RMX?I'll try to post a couple of tracks I've submitted to this listing later today.Chuck

Chuck,Thanks for listening.Stylus: Ilio Skippy's Noizbox expander with one loop from Stylus core library. Messed a lot with filtering and FX also. Big drum hits created in Reason, white noise in Subratctor blended with analog synth sample pitched down in NNXT with lots of verb.Mazz

Yeah Chuck,Sounds like the Oasys/Karma combo is working for you. I'm assuming since you've mentioned them before that a lot of what I'm hearing is coming from there. Cool stuff.Good luck,Mazz

Mazz,I've always been attracted to evolving textures. The Korg Wavestation was one of the first synths I couldn't seem to get enough of. Now it's in software. It's also been updated in the OASYS.I've recently added Rob Papen's Predator to my softsynth collection. Alot of great techno/electronic textures in it's palette of sounds.Chuck

Songwriter: I tried not to over compress this version with the idea that the end user may want to do that themselves. I'm not sure about voice overs, I tried to leave some space but maybe I didn't leave enough.I tried to make that synth sound (Korg MS-20 in software) be more of a focal point in all the swirliness that was going on. I'll listen again with your comment in mind, maybe it works, maybe it doesn't, thanks for the feedback. The part I questioned was adding the high piano because it may have been just one too many things. That may be the thing that makes it not quite work with voice overs. I'll probably do a mix with it out.Chuck, I love the Wavestation, I still have mine, it's in a case but I still love it. I have the software version and it's very cool. Thanks for the tip on the new softsynth!Mazz

Quote:Here are a few I've submitted to the medical/science listing:http://www.broadjam.com/artists/songind ... 4ChuckLife Support is cool. I found the almost mechanical percussion that started from the beginning to be a touch overpowering & I'd prefer it to be a little softer in the mix so the other textures could be more present, but it is very edgy & tension-inducing. Sounds like a winner.Unit Eleven is neat too. Edgy & contemporary. Almost reaches out and grabs you. I like how it grows in intensity.Medical Staff - has a kinda ambient hip hop quality... I like the textures. Altho all of your pieces are good, IMO this is the best of the 3. Neat vibe & well-produced. Sounds like a forward to me.

Well Mazz, always top notch material. Nothing that I can say would improve anything.crs7string, this goes for your work too. I can really hear these tracks in context of what the listing asks for.Great work, both of you!
