I think we have not confused jude enough yet so here goes: While I generally agree with what Dave and mazz have said it's important to point out that there's a significant difference between a music supervisor or director looking for one cue for a specific scene in a production, and a music library looking for a variety of material "a la something".In the first scenario you definitely want to hit the "a la" as closely as possible without infringing, because they want just that one perfect track to replace the "a la" which they have probably temped in.In the second scenario the library will probably want to release an entire CD's worth of "erotic" music, and they're not likely to want 10-15 Zumanity clones, they'll want some variety. If I were to submit for this listing, I would agree with Dave's last advice of submitting two tracks, one very close to Zumanity, one more generally "erotic"...whatever that means. I often take this approach and usually get at least one of the two tracks forwarded (this is assuming the tracks are musically and production-wise up to snuff of course).Another difference between supervisors/directors and music library owners is that the former are almost never musicians, but the latter often are. So I wouldn't automatically assume a music library owner would be musically clueless and just influenced by the visuals.Just my 2c...matto

It's like playing golf... "OK, head down, arms relaxed, knees bent, but not too much, etc". There's so many things to consider, it's easy to let an important consideration slip by. After my little "screener" experience at Taxi, I started to do something I never did before. When I was "screening" at Taxi, I was very conscientious about getting it right. I had the listing right there in front of me and I read and re-read the listing as I was "screening" each track of music. It occurred to me that I never do that with my own music before I submit. It's not hard to imagine that I might be missing something in my music that's part of the listing if I'm not re-evaluating that music in context of the listing before I send it. It's not 100% foolproof but I feel like if I'm really serious about "getting it right" that I do a lot better by seriously screening my own music as I read and re-read the listing before I send it off.
