Cool Tom! Best of luck with the resubmission!songmaster wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 10:44 amThanks for that info John! I am in the middle of resubmitting a song that they rejected, with a totally different singer and music. I have faith in the song and when I listened to the first song I sent, I realized that maybe it was a bit rough around the edges. So we will see how it goes. Here's hoping

Re: Some insight on a "Critical Library"
OK - for what it's worth: I can toadily get why it would be hard to resist wanting to produce this 'bigger'.
Here's my Peanut Gallery feedback (from a not-a-fan-of-most Hip-Hop or Rap): you've taken what's good about Country music - being able to hear & understand all the lyrics;
and made it sound (to me) like a song Bruno Mars would produce with big ensemble: definitely horns, and maybe even live strings... a big production piece.
BUT - your re-work and employing 'restraint' - is what makes it stand out - and got the attention it took to get noticed, and placed.
AND - the beauty of it is: it could still go BIG, like a Bruno Mars live, stage thing... and be killin' it.
Big congrats - you produced a WINNER.
My 2 cents.

Hey thanks Peter! That's a really interesting observation and I appreciate it. The vocalist on this one absolutely sells the whole thing. He's a pro. Thanks again Peter. best, johnfunsongs wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 11:41 amOK - for what it's worth: I can toadily get why it would be hard to resist wanting to produce this 'bigger'.
