Some insight on a "Critical Library" New link
I just thought I'd share a little insight on a "Critical" TAXI friendly library a lot of us know about.
My 2nd year with TAXI (2016) I wrote a "hip hop" style vocal song. I had a great vocalist sing it and I produced it. I was so proud of it but it was rejected by said library. I always thought it was a good song so I reworked it a time or two adding more and more elements. Wrong move.. The more I added the worse it got.
So fast forward to 2021. I deleted everything from the song except the vocals and I started from scratch. I cut the 12 second intro off and kept everything minimal and very sparse. No more elc gtr or any of the 15 synths I had going lol.
Well the good news is the "critical" library allows you to resubmit songs if they've been substantially reworked. I just found out today that they've accepted the song the way I redid it! This makes 27 vocal songs with that library in 6 different genres. This library specializes in underscore so it's "vibe" that's most important over everything else.
I just have to keep reminding myself that less is almost always more. Here's the song "Unstoppable" .

Re: Some insight on a "Critical Library"
Congrats!
I have re-submitted after re-work in the past-- new vocalist, much different mix, etc. But I would caution against re-submitting for trivial changes as they rarely are the reason for rejection.

Re: Some insight on a "Critical Library"
Thx for that Peter. I was updating the SC link from "public" to "private" (too much spamming) and may have blown up the link. Is it working now for ya?

Thanks, and yep I agree Casey. Substantial changes need to be made before a resubmission. This was my first re-submit to them. Grateful that it worked out.

Re: Some insight on a "Critical Library"
Thanks for that info John! I am in the middle of resubmitting a song that they rejected, with a totally different singer and music. I have faith in the song and when I listened to the first song I sent, I realized that maybe it was a bit rough around the edges. So we will see how it goes. Here's hoping
