Song about America

Post by karafinman » Tue May 24, 2022 6:53 am

I have a song about America I'm very proud of, but the guy in Nashville sang it so slowly, it came to about 4:45. Is this a problem for sync or will they just use parts of it anyway? Any suggestions.

Hi. I don't know about synch but the tempo is too slow. That said, there are 1000s of country songs about America and the trick is to say something fresh. It's similar with love songs. There are so many of them, it becomes March of the Penguins...They're all identical.

I listened to the first vs and I could tell what the next line was gonna be.

If you're going to tread well covered ground in a song, make sure you do it with a fresh angle. That's the best advice I can offer.

I find Taxi listings to be very specific. This does not have a top notch arrangement imo, rather this sounds like a REALLY GOOD demo. A great recording and a good performance. That said, why not submit it for the $5 dollars and if it's not forwarded no big deal!
