Song reviews/feedback

I'd like to help out with more song reviews/feedback (JMHO's)... Often I come to P2P to randomly select something. However, often there are no lyrics posted.

If you'd like song feedback and you post a link to the music as well as the lyrics (direct in post preferred), I'll try to pop in and offer some thoughts. Note: I strongly prefer songs with vocals in rock, pop, folk, singer-songwriter... I'm not very good with country, though I give it a shot. Instrumentals aren't my best either, especially if we are talking fine details of production & engineering...

So, post some songs with vocals AND lyrics...

I do mainly instrumental stuff, and I think it's useful to have anyone - and I mean ANYONE's opinion about a tune - as long as they pay attention and listen.. everyone has gut feelings right? I know you lyricists tend to aim higher than the gut, but we instrumentalists aren't that sophisticated! anyway, thank... your help is greatly appreciated!

I do check out and review some instrumentals. I often can tell (MHO) if the general melody, arrangement, and style is on target or if the BQ is obviously under the bar. When something is very good already and the concerns are more with the mixing and engineering details-- I know that's a weak area for me and often I can't be of enough help. Luckily we have wonderful composers here like Mazz, Vikki, Chuck, Dave W, Matto, etc who often pitch in. (Many others too, I just didn't list every name)...

If you want me to take a listen to something, just ask.
