My daughter showed my this AI site Chat GPT. I decided to see if it was possible to write a song ala Ed Sheeran. I first asked it for a title that Ed would use and it gave me this title "Echoes Of You". I thought that was pretty close to what Ed Sheeran would use. So I asked it for the first logical line in the song. I did this for the whole song ( just the first verse, pre-chorus and chorus ). to make a long story short, here is the lyrics to the song "Echoes Of You" written by Chat GPT. What I should have said in my first reply is that context is everything, and that although the OP suggested he'd used AI to 'write a song' its a set of lyrics only, not a song. There are plenty of (dare I say) 'great' songs that pre-judged on their lyrical content would not get far, but totally work when married with the music.

I know AI is coming fast and we'll all be pleasured or plagued (or plagiarised maybe? ) by it in some way. I just hope it will find better use than the current fascination for facsimile. Therefore, however good or bad the output my own personal views remain the same - for now. Also, it should also come with a warning - "for personal amusement only" .
