Spaghetti Western Hip Hop

Post by VanderBoegh » Mon Apr 25, 2022 1:56 pm

My friend Johnny Rowing and I whipped this sucker up over the weekend for the Spaghetti Western hip hop listing. I'm especially fond of our "huyah's" that we hollered into the mic, scaring our three girls that were all playing together while we made this.

SPAGHETTI WESTERN HIP-HOP INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by an established and well-known Independent Production Music Library that pays Upfront Fees to Composers!

Please submit top-notch Instrumental Cues that blend authentic-sounding Spaghetti Western and Hip-Hop elements to create an effortlessly cool vibe and sound. Your submissions should have intriguing motifs, slick beats, and solid arrangements. Craft your Cues around a singular motif, and create a sense forward momentum and dynamics by layering instrumentation in and out as they progress. Instrumentation in the general style of the references will suit your submissions best – think Ennio Morricone-styled motifs paired with Hip-Hop beats. And keep it hip – nothing "cheesy" will work here, folks! Please be sure that your production is polished and any virtual sounds or samples you use are high-quality and fresh.

Now I'm getting Hip Hop & Spaghetti Western. How did you do the whistling, I used to think I could whistle until we did a Trad Spag Western track for a Taxi listing back in 2018 and tried recording myself and it came out like a tuneless person blowing onto the mic. I used a plugin in the end and it was forwarded..I think the deal email could still land any day now.

PS - hats sound bit hot this end.

Thanks a bunch, everyone. And thanks for the note on the hats, Mark. I'll make one more round of tweaks to this piece before I submit it, so I'll reign in those hi hats a bit while I'm at it.

P.S. congrats, Peter!

Oh, and P.P.S. Mark, that whistling was straight outta my friend Johnny's mouth (even the vibrato..... though I did accentuate that in Melodyne). He sat about 6 inches from the mic and just let 'er rip. I slathered it all in a really cool reverb from a plug-in called Blackhole to give it a really cool lush sound.

Congrats!
Sounds really cool but being this hungry is not a good time to see the word SPAGHETTI in green block letters:)

PS. Really love the title!!
