SPORT Fever !

Hello everyone,

Hector and Catherine, we have just co-worked on this high Energy, crazy Guitars, sick Bass lines, Adrenaline pumping like stuff, packing a Wallop Instrumental for Sport TV !

We had so much fun doing it, (not our habitual Genre !), and look at this Listing, it is fun just to read it as well, smile :


DRIVING, UPTEMPO, ENERGETIC ROCK INSTRUMENTALS that would work well for SPORTS BROADCASTS are needed by the Owner of an extremely busy Music Library with incredibly solid connections to the MAJOR networks. This guy gets TONS of placements per year on dozens of TV Shows. He's phenomenally successful at what he does!

Give him Mid-To-Up Tempo Instrumentals with HIGH ENERGY and a contemporary sound that will play well during Sports television montages. Stylistically, he needs crazy, catchy, and melodic guitar riffs, energetic drums, sick bass lines, and anything else that will really help pack a wallop! Your Instrumentals need to get viewers' adrenaline pumping like they've had one too many energy drinks. He's definitely NOT looking for anything soft, sappy, or sentimental. Your Instrumentals must be at least 1:30 (one minute and thirty seconds) long.

Watch some ESPN, Fox Sports, and even some extreme sports broadcasts to get in the ballpark of the music typically used on these shows. "Honey, I've GOT to watch this game. TAXI told me to! It's for my music career, really!"

This Library offers a Non-Exclusive, 50/50 split deal. You'll keep your 100% of your original copyrights. You must own or control 100% of your master and composition rights to pitch for this. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis. No full critiques. I'll "break the ice" for ya...

I can tell you had fun making this and I hope you didn't hurt your ears in the process!
Technically there seemed to be many problems that TV would have in using this tune.
The Kick drum for one sounded like it was pushing your monitors too hard and distorting.
The guitar seemed to be doing something similar.
It was agressive but didn't feel coherent.
There also was a strong Avant Garde feel to the whole piece.
That is where I know the two of you had fun!

In a listing like this I think to get a placement we have to think more "mainstream"
What does a guy in his pickup truck drinking a beer want to hear...
But I do believe that without taking your first steps within a genre you'll never know/grow/experiance it.
Congrats on stepping outside of your safety zone and giving it a shot.
Hopefully someone with more experiance than me can chime in and give a little help on how to get the sounds that the listing might be looking for.

Yeah I'm afraid this is too "out" to be useful for film/tv library music. I think especially for sports stuff you need a consistent groove, that's where I'd start. On the other hand if this is just for kicks and you don't care about getting placements by all means go as far out as you want!

This is so nice of you to explain the matter like this to us.

I see, we really went for it, because of the description, ... but way too much as it would cause a problem of Sound.

Well, we thought that at the TV edition board, they could put it loud or less loud.

And yes, it lacks coherence because we visualized plenty of pictures of different scenes in the area of extreme Sport. So, it changes all the time.

@Hector... I'll echo what's already been said, I think your piece is a little bit too "out there" to be useful for film/TV.

So very nice to have your Visit.

We listened to "Comeback Anthem" and "No Time To Sleep", ... and we understand ! It is full of Energy, and it is pumping with Adrenaline, but also it is consistent, coherent, loud without being too loud and very well controlled till the end.
