I had crackles and pops running the RME UFX that I "THINK" I narrowed down to having the usb and the firewire drivers both running at the same time.- accidentally enabled somehow.

Just something to check.

In the spirit of thanks, I wanted to respond to everyone who helped me ealier this year with my setup.

First I tried trading up the connections, so using FW400 from the RME to the mac,
and using thunderbolt adapted to FW800 for the Glyph drive.

That didn't work; same problems.

What fixed it was upgrading the drive config. Turns out it had the "fusion" setup with one SSD.

So I upgraded the other drive to SSD, and used them in a normal setup, with OS/DAW and project files on different drives.

Still learning, finding there are some other noises in my analog chain. But the systemic, coincident-across-track clicks are gone since the drive upgrade.

Editing material from this time was tedious, and I am glad those days are over!
I did have to scrap some cues altogether.

Fortunately, I was able to get some forwards out of this material.
One funk cue as-is, and one classical that came back with critique of two spots, then forwarded after I patched it up from alternate takes.
