Hey Danny! I enjoyed listening to one of my favorite songs from back when. You did an amazing job of capturing the song in all its glory. Nice job and I loved the finger work at the end of the song :)

All the best

Tom

Hey Tom,

I appreciate it! I'm trying to get some of my covers ready for the future. I hope they will be useful to somebody down the road!
Glad you liked the guitar.. whew, I was worried about that.

Thanks again,

Dan

Good one..you nailed it ! My Dad has played this record thousands of times whilst tweaking his HiFi....I know every lick by heart and you're as close as close can be. It's a shame the drums don't sound more like the original they are a lot more damped.

Great job! this is really close to the original- the guitar is super-authentic. The mix is a little different- seems like less low end then the original? I didn't go back and listen, but I must have heard it a hundred times and have most of it memorized. This makes me want to go back and try to re-create one of my favorite old tunes. I bet you learn a lot trying to do this.

You were spot on about the drums. I dampened the ambiance and gave them more touch and feel. I hope the drums sound more like the original.

Hey Vince, the low end definitely needed to be tweaked. I darkened the bass and boosted the level. And yes, I always learn a lot when remixing my covers. It's much harder to get that classic sound using 21st Century technology than using the classic gear. I still haven't perfected it yet but I will keep trying and learning.

Thanks guys for much needed improvements to this one. You guys ROCK!

Dan
