Sounding great after the edits Owen. My tip now would be to lift the level of that very final D chord as you slide up to it, so its a bit clearer and you have a rock solid ending that stands on its own ('cos an editor might just use those last few seconds). I reckon its all good otherwise, and although the edit points might ideally be a bit more obvious you've probably done enough. Best of luck with it.

Thank you so much! Good idea regarding the ending D chord. Will do that last little tweak before submitting. Regarding the edit points, I will keep that in mind for the next track for sure.! Are there any examples where I can hear some really good edit points? I am assuming that maybe I should've just left a hanging chord instead of the riff but wasn't 100% sure.

As is often the case, Taxi already has the answers to many, many questions, and they're fairly easy to find :)

1) You've already listened to and commented on Dave's Swampy track, and that's a good example...

2) Check out this thread too....

3) And here's a Taxi TV episode all about it....

Hello!

Nice!!

Like the guitar sound/work a lot the break down at .45 is sweet.

My only question is the toms. They seem more arena that swamp. A small quibble.

Good luck.

Thank you so much for the links !
Re-listened to Dave's track with edit points in mind & read the thread - then made some last minute changes again before finally submitting !
Now I'll just hope for the best :)

I am trying to catch up with all past episodes of Taxi TV - hard task which I am willing to accomplish :)
For some reason this one never popped up so thanks for sharing.

Hey Geo,

Thanks for the feedback!

Good point re the toms! I am definitely in the process of slowly beefing up my drum samples. (a never ending process I might add hehe)
In hindsight though maybe I could have played with the room mics to make them less big - some food for thought for my next swamp submission so thanks for bringing it up:)

take care
