Swing!!

For the Dispatch listing:New Listing SWING-era (1930s-1940s) style JAZZ SONGS & INSTRUMENTALS are needed by in Independent Label to license for an upcoming Swing Jazz CD Box Set to be distributed by a major label in Europe. ORIGINALS or POPULAR COVERS are OK for this project. This same company recently helped to complete a Smooth Jazz compilation CD (via the same major label) that included 2 TAXI members and just finished a Salsa CD project that included over a dozen TAXI songs. Needless to say, this connection has worked well for all parties involved. Style-wise, think Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Billie Holiday, Art Tatum, Nat King Cole, etc. etc. Big Band orchestras are OK as are smaller groups and solo performers - but it’s gotta be Swing. Great performances are essential, of course. Broadcast/Master quality needed. This is my take on the classic piano, guitar and bass trio of the 50's:"Dancing In Heaven Tonight" http://www.broadjam.com/artists/songind ... ChuckDoing this type of tune continues to be a challenge.

I'm not a swing expert, but this sounds good in my ears!
