Is this my computer's issue, or a glitch in TAXI's webmaster realm?

Hello everyone out there, I've just joined TAXI and the forums...rockinpop (Ron Svoboda). I'm getting pumped and ready to get into this.
Just getting started by trying to add my avatar on my forum screen and also a facial pic on TAXI. I have two pics in my profile but unsure if the forum profile is totally separate from the TAXI profile. I don't see pics on either site. Could anyone help with instructions?

Success on my TAXI photo pic, but unsure of Avatar. Do I really need to sign up with Gravatar just to add a pic from my computer?
Is there a fee or maybe a "work-around"?
