The Fire We Breathe (Ft. PO)

Post by Casey H » Fri Feb 01, 2019 7:45 am

Hey all
Watcha think? Catchy enough hook? Mix? I'm thinking of adding harmonies on a few more lines. (Update: This mix has the more harmonies)

Hi Casey Great song and very well produced and Paul Ottenized :) I think you're right about adding maybe a little more harmonies. I think the chorus could actually use some harmonies to make it stand out from the verse and give it a little lift. But having said that, you got a real solid song here and I still love the title.

Hi Casey!

I really enjoyed your song. More harmonies might work but to be honest I really enjoyed it with the harmonies it has currently.
Loved the riff at 2.42 especially, with the repeated (sliding?) note underneath. Gave me inspiration for how to fill out an arpeggio in a cue I'm working on :)

Great stuff!

Thanks Tom! I had uploaded the version with more harmonies last night so that's probably what you heard. :D I can take credit for writing the song 100% but the production, arrangement, and performance is all Paul Otten. He da man!

Best,
:D Casey

I think the mix needs some more work when it comes to EQ, it needs to be more clear IMO.

Hi Casey,

Very great song! I wrote you a few months ago and finally decided to join Taxi, so hello!

The instrumental is especially great. I am very interested in hearing the instrumental on it’s own if you could upload that to your soundcloud. In fact, I think the instrumental would be an excellent submission for tv/film.

Best of luck,
Amanda

Really like it Casey! Very driving Rock track and mix sounds great to me! Would love to know how you made that so loud!

Good job!
