The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ... rocks

Post by jdstamper » Tue Dec 14, 2021 10:03 pm

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! I watched the more than 3 hour 2021 induction ceremony on HBO MAX, and it's so good ... with presenters including Paul McCartney, Dave Chappelle, and Taylor Swift!

2021 features a worthy group of inductees, and some long over due (Carole King, Tina Turner), Foo Fighters (Yeah!), JAY-Z, LL Cool J, Todd Rundgren, and more

There's a lot of value in the RRHOF and it's a great place to visit in downtown Cleveland on the shores of the lake. Just relax and soak in a portion of the history and artifacts of the music that inspires us.

While I'm still disappointed about the omission of the original Guess Who ... topic148096.html ... I'm also glad that we have the RRHOF

PS. Maybe there should be a special award for TAXI!! :)

Sorry but I disagree.

Where did the rrhof get its credentials to be a leader and spokesman for rock and roll? Who exactly are they?

I know of MANY great rock groups that get no credit whatsoever and then I see rappers getting credit.

Hello?

I'm someone who takes music and songwriting seriously so I cant take them seriously.

Yes, I absolutely see your point. Many great musicians have not been recognized, including my own favorites, who I KNOW are deserving. (They're often referred to as the Canadian Beatles... How have they not been included?)

I enjoy the induction ceremonies, and it's worthwhile to visit the place. I think the majority of people who have been inducted, deserve that honor, even though others have been unfairly overlooked.

So I'd rather have the Hall of Fame even with its flaws, than not have it at all.
