not sure how the bacon thing started folks.. it appears to be select group of good supportive friends that are mainly taxi members.... and well they enjoy this sort of cyber handshake clubhouse password (if you will) ..so you may hear it from time to time as members reference the word....so if your a new member.. taxi is an amazing family with roots that go so deep in many directions.. ;)

hope this helps the new and old member peeps with bacon thing..

Jimmy, is that a wall mounted mother-in-law head that's got the T-shirt hanging over it?

Inquiring minds want to know,
Michael

:?  too funny...
You know - there are often the swirling stories of urban-legend status:
from folks pondering, or pontificating, where and how certain words & names for things have evolved.
For instance -
"roach clip" supposedly got that moniker due to the fact that "pot holder" was already taken.
Likewise, car companies were stuck going with "air bag" for supplemental restraining systems
- due to the fact that "mother-in-law" was already taken. :? :P

@Michael

there IS something undesireable under that t-shirt on the wall. 8-) 8-)
i can only say that it isn't my mother in laws head... lol

although, i will entertain a couple other community attempts to guess what it is.
before i do a reveal 8-) 8-)

I figured it's probably a code-required air duct/vent of some kind -
and you're using it to dry your shirt?!
Well - that's my guess, and I'm stickin' to it.

edit! NO! - I change my guess -
it's your own private entrance to THE TIME TUNNEL!! :? :o

I'm with Peter... Since you live where it snows...
It has to be a flue tube from a wood burning stove!?!

Cool! I'm having Auralex envy.

I'm trying to figure out what's under the t-shirt, but everything I can come up with would be flagged by the forum censor-bot 8-)

well that didn't take long... yes, its an old stove pipe exhaust.. (cass is a sharp one) 8-)
i live in a big old house from 1897.. thata be where the old wood stove sat in my bedroom for heat.
before i added that fancy rich folk "steam radiator" type system.. (we like to be up with the times you know.) LOL
you can still hear the air noise in some of my tracks recorded over the winter..

wood-smoked bacon probably has better flavor any way.
