This week keeps getting more interesting! Another deal!
I just got an email from a new (to me) library wanting to sign two vocal songs forwarded via the listing below.! Thanks screener #19 and thank you Michael! Also the company wants to hear more like these. 2020 sure is a polar opposite type of year... Here are the songs that were forwarded.

GRITTY, BLUES-Y ROCK SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by an A-List Film/TV Music Publishing Company that always shoots for high-end placements.
They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs in the general stylistic ballpark of artists like (but not limited to) Kaleo, Barns Courtney, Welshly Arms, etc., etc., etc.
Please listen to the following references to get an idea of what they’re looking for:
“Way Down We Go” by Kaleo
“Fire” by Barns Courtney
“Legendary” by Welshly Arms
Please submit Bluesy, Swagger-filled Rock Songs that have a soulful and anthemic style and feel. Big bad drums, gritty guitar tones, and swagger-filled vocal performances could help give you all the edge and attitude needed for this request!
Please avoid references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity for this request. Do not copy the referenced acts or Songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.
This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split all upfront sync fees 50/50. The Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright. Since this is an EXCLUSIVE deal,

Keep this up and you'll likely wind up as a panelist on stage, in the Grand Ballroom, at the next Road Rally...

Thanks Peter and thanks Les! Yeah Les it was fun throwing the distortion on my bass and rocking a pick (which I rarely use). Peter I think I'm about 100 placements (700 in dog years) away from that TAXI stage . I'm just hoping the deals turn into actual placements. I'm impatient but gotta keep writing, submitting and forgetting.. Stay well and stay creative! Best, John

Go your own way! Out of necessity, drive, gumption, whatever.. don't let anyone tell you you can't!
It's not what goes into your music that's important, it's what comes out the speakers

Wow thank you Danny. I really appreciate your words. Every day I’m trying to listen, learn and get better at this stuff. One thing I feel in my heart is - I have yet to write my best music. Hopefully that will coincide with somebody needing it lol!DannyWeber wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 5:33 amWith your talent and work ethic.. 2020 is just the beginning for you my friend!JohnnyP wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 5:02 pmI just got an email from a new (to me) library wanting to sign two vocal songs forwarded via the listing below.!
