Thumbs down to Templates?

The architecture/routing thing is why I use templates - I only really have one that evolves slowly over time.
I also find that specific templates to style/genre doesn't work well for me either.

Not sure why as the idea makes sense - just I usually end up deleting most of the extras and end up back at my default template.

So I guess my default template is the blank slate - but it is still saves a lot of time over an actual blank project.
