Re: Topline writer /lyricist wanted for collaboration

Post by JHeavern » Wed Oct 24, 2018 3:53 pm

Greetings, my name is John Heavern, I am a lyricist currently living in Charlotte, N.C. . I currently have 5 music demos, three of which are videos on youtube. Music for demos created by paid musicians, lyrics & videos created by myself. Youtube link available here. Demos are country. MY influences: Roger Waters, Neil Peart, Freddie Mercury, Tommy Shaw...
I have over 175 complete lyrical poems of various subject matter and disposition I best describe as: "Lyrical poetry of observational introspection", designed to accompany 4/4, 6/8 (mostly)musical composition and be “song-friendly”, complete with verses, repeating chorus and bridges. I sometimes like adding an additional line of verse(I’m creative, big surprise!), no worries about augmentation. A lot of it’s pretty deep stuff, some humor and love as well. I feel my lyrics lend themselves to country, rock, blues, some ballads, folk. Something to say is never an issue! My demos are country but I am not. I enjoy writing to rock tracks. Rock was the catalyst that brought all this to fruition and flows through my soul and into my words almost naturally.
THIS IS NOT A HOBBY
It is my goal to find that musical ying to my lyrical yang, make the living my/our gift deserves and quit my day job! I have spent thousands of hours and dollars on this obsession, time for it to pay off! Are you in?

S9/22/18, Friday, My Day

Gotta’ love the weekend,
goin’ off the deep end,
suddenly not sleepin'
'til the break of play.
My occupation occupying nothing
for a coupla' days.

Br) I've always prescribed to theories of cursed days,
Monday through Thursday are some of the worst days,
but come into Friday you're talkin' 'bout my day,
I'll be hittin' the clock, then hittin' the highway.

Ch) It's Friday, it's my day!
A fresh state of mind the grind isn't finding.
During the week, I work off my cheeks
but kiss my behind when the week is unwinding.
It's Friday, it's my day!
It's time to go par-tay!

Disciplines are hollow:
lemmings love to follow
chasms that have swallowed
hope, to some degree.
A fowl mutation will not be replacin'
dreams inside of me!

Ch) It's Friday, it's my day!
A fresh state of mind the grind isn't finding.
During the week, I work off my cheeks
but kiss my behind when the week is unwinding.
It's Friday, it's my day!
It's time to go par-tay!

Workers that surround me
seldom ever found me
joyfully resounding
Monday's sullen haze:
weekly illusion of Friday's conclusion,
lost for four long days.

S-7/27/12, Dogs Are Walkin'

You call me once, you call me twice,
you call for too much sacrifice.
On your command, you think I'll stay,
I wasn't bred to be that way.
This dog's about to have his day.

Ch) My dogs are walkin' outta here,
your only pet is peeved, my dear.
I'm turning tail at record speed,
I'm not the breed to lick your needs.
This bone to pick is quite severe,
my dogs are walkin' outta here.

I jump through hoops to eat your treats
that keep me lying at your feet.
You keep me hangin' on a chain
and call on me to entertain.
This game of fetch is getting lame.

Ch) My dogs are walkin' outta here,
your only pet is peeved, my dear.
I'm turning tail at record speed,
I'm not the breed to lick your needs.
This bone to pick is quite severe,
my dogs are walkin' outta here.

I guess I just don´t give a stick,
I'm done performing all your tricks.
Put up your toys and stuff your ball,
wrap up your treats and chew it all.
This dog is gonna jump the wall.

Ch) My dogs are walkin' outta here,
your only pet is peeved, my dear.
I'm turning tail at record speed,
I'm not the breed to lick your needs.
This bone to pick is quite severe,
my dogs are walkin' outta here.

S-7/31/12, Figurine

The radiance of her crystal eyes
is stripping me of a thin disguise.
She´s statuesque with a polished sheen,
I cannot let go of my figurine.

Ch) She stirs my gravy, turns my page,
serves as my romantic sage.
A sculpture fit for any king,
exalted is my figurine.
A work of art to blanket dreams,
my canopy, my figurine.

Realities have been taking flight,
my figurine standing in their sight.
Her staunch support can appease my aches
in a granite love that never breaks.

Ch) She stirs my gravy, turns my page,
serves as my romantic sage.
A sculpture fit for any king,
exalted is my figurine.
A work of art to blanket dreams,
my canopy, my figurine.

She stands apart in a crowded room,
a shining star in the darkest doom.
Embodiment of alluring scenes,
she’s a cornerstone, my figurine.

Ch) She stirs my gravy, turns my page,
serves as my romantic sage.
A sculpture fit for any king,
exalted is my figurine.
A work of art to blanket dreams,
my canopy, my figurine.

S-12/9/12, Gravity

The weight of the world is enveloping me,
darkness polluting tomorrows I see.
Tightening chains, buckling brain,
gravity binds at incredible speed.

Ch) Pressures abound, apathy found,
emptiness bleeds into sorrows I drown.
           Gravity preys, clarity fades,
spiraling down a malevolent maze.
           Gravity passing a tolerant phase,
gaining momentum in worrisome ways.

Erratic impressions bury my soul,
sinking me deeper, devoid of control.
Crumbling care, sunken despair,
gravity waits to devour me whole.

Ch) Pressures abound, apathy found,
emptiness bleeds into sorrows I drown.
           Gravity preys, clarity fades,
spiraling down a malevolent maze.
Gravity pulling me into the haze,
spinning me ´round with my future ablaze.

Conflicting emotions filling my plate,
heart becomes heavy, depressions inflate.
Mentally mobbed, reasoning robbed,
gravity swelling in thoughts I create.

Br) Nothing to say, nothing to do,
          gravity altering practical view.
Dreams I envisioned falling from grace,
forces of gravity hollow my face.

Ch) Pressures abound, apathy found,
emptiness bleeds into sorrows I drown.
           Gravity preys, clarity fades,
spiraling down a malevolent maze.
Gravity winning the game that it plays,
forcing me down as my sanity strays.

S-9/27/12, Angel In Waiting (T.H.W.)

She cares for me from inner space.
Mortality could not replace
her gaze beyond my apathy,
forgiving insecurities.
She freed me from my lethargy.

Ch) I've finally found my angel in waiting,
I suddenly feel my loneliness fading.
Angel in waiting, sets wind in my sails,
filling the void in times of travail.
Angel in waiting, her spirit prevails.

She guided me, with no demands,
to shape the world within my hands.
Inside my world a spirit draws
the needle from my heart of straw.
Her threads of hope mend inner flaws.

Ch) I've finally found my angel in waiting,
I suddenly feel my loneliness fading.
Angel in waiting, sets wind in my sails,
filling the void in times of travail.
Angel in waiting, her spirit prevails.

Her silhouette is everywhere,
a voice above in silent prayer.
When life is slipping through the cracks,
My angel´s picking up the slack.
A touch of love is coming back.

Ch) I've finally found my angel in waiting,
I suddenly feel my loneliness fading.
Angel in waiting, sets wind in my sails,
filling the void in times of travail.
Angel in waiting, her spirit prevails.

S-7/12/12, As I Sit And Stare

People think I'm acting lazy, almost comatose or crazy.
Still as stone and out alone, musing in my comfort zone.
Peering out a greater distance, passing tangible existence.
Fantasy is in the air, whispering to sit and stare.

Ch) I Stare beyond mistakes I've made,
stare between the common ground.
Stare at dues already paid,
stare at space, write it down.
As I sit and stare...
I'm not even there.

Aggravations quickly fading, hidden paradise pervading.
Mystic windows open bright, shining scenes in prism light.
Cast aside all sense of measure, seeking out my hidden treasure.
Vast horizons open wide, apparitions amplified.

Ch) I Stare beyond mistakes I've made,
stare between the common ground.
Stare at dues already paid,
stare at space, write it down.
As I sit and stare...
I'm not even there.

Swimming in surreal surroundings, inspiration's pulse is pounding.
Circulation flowing back, filling in creative cracks.
Far beyond the realm of tension, floating into fourth dimension.
Phasing into phantom scenes, revelation intervenes.

Ch) I Stare beyond mistakes I've made,
stare between the common ground.
Stare at dues already paid,
stare at space, write it down.
As I sit and stare...
I'm not even there.

S-11/14/12, Suspended Animation

Repetition every day,
busy beavers everywhere.
Moths are dancing to the flames
that line productive thoroughfares.
Sometimes I just stop and stare.

Ch) It all becomes confusing in a world of motivation.
I feel as if I'm living in suspended animation.
I see the people hurry to their scheduled destinations,
moving in a flurry 'round suspended animation.

Worked so hard to keep in line,
faced my fears of fitting in.
Desperately, I searched to find
tempered mettle from within.
Daily grinding wore me thin.

Ch) It all becomes confusing in a world of motivation.
I feel as if I'm living in suspended animation.
I see the people hurry to their scheduled destinations,
moving in a flurry 'round suspended animation.

Br) Upon the perch I occupy,
I watch the people passing by.
Commuting to their daily grind
just adding stress to weighted minds.
To run around won´t work for me,
I navigate too clumsily.
Tried to rush but only found
my observations slowing down.

Ch) It all becomes confusing in a world of motivation.
I feel as if I'm living in suspended animation.
I see the people hurry to their scheduled destinations,
moving in a flurry 'round suspended animation.

S-10/9/12, Silhouettes

Their sacrifice hidden from most,
with spirit that's more than a ghost.
The sweat of my peers keeps greasing the gears,
their push allows many to coast.

Ch) Silhouettes in the steel,
their faces concealed,
bringing their mettle to bear.
Their hearts hold the treasures
of life's pain and pleasures
forged from the struggles we've shared.
They're the strength of my back,
inspiration I lack,
motivation when life isn't fair.
Silhouettes will always be there.

The task is in sight every day,
no time for their focus to stray.
With families to feed, their dangerous deeds
have more than one future at stake.

Ch) Silhouettes in the steel,
their faces concealed,
bringing their mettle to bear.
Their hearts hold the treasures
of life's pain and pleasures
forged from the struggles we've shared.
They're the strength of my back,
inspiration I lack,
motivation when life isn't fair.
Silhouettes will always be there.

When life gets a little too real,
silhouettes clarify my ordeal.
The college they lack is strapped to their back,
experience simply revealed.

Ch) Silhouettes in the steel,
their faces concealed,
bringing their mettle to bear.
Their hearts hold the treasures
of life's pain and pleasures
forged from the struggles we've shared.
They're the strength of my back,
inspiration I lack,
motivation when life isn't fair.
Silhouettes will always be there.

Br) They treat everybody the same.
Their mind isn´t playing a game.
The wisdom they share as they cut up and swear
are the braces supporting my frame.
I´m proud I can speak in their name.

S-7/25/12, Ocean Of Emotion

Sail into paradise, destiny’s here,
please do me the honor and be my First Mate.
Feelings immerse in a pool of rebirth
and dreams swim around in a jubilent state.

Ch)    We're riding a wave on a sea of devotion,
the anchor's aweigh and the lines have been broken.
Casting aside all practical notions
mixes our lives into magical potions
       in our ocean...of emotion.

Journey to joyfulness sweeps me away,
afloat on the tide of your strengthening smile.
Currents of confidence carry us through
to brighter horizons asea from denial.

Br) Love shimmers, shines, soothes the soul,
our better halves will make us whole.
A sea of passion teeming within
is whetting desire and begs to begin.

Ch)    We're riding a wave on a sea of devotion,
the anchor's aweigh and the lines have been broken.
Casting aside all practical notions
mixes our lives into magical potions
       in our ocean...of emotion.

Islands of ecstasy plotting a course
while stars in the depths of our eyes realign.
Vessels of virtue avoiding the storms
that dampen the spirits and weigh on our mind.

Ch)    We're riding a wave on a sea of devotion,
the anchor's aweigh and the lines have been broken.
Casting aside all practical notions
mixes our lives into magical potions
       in our ocean...of emotion.

S-8/5/18, Wrong Right

Don´t "B&E" and leave your prints,
the cops just love those little hints.
A smile for the camera lens
reserves a visit to the pen.
Incompetence has struck again.

Br) Don´t let it be said that I´d ever approve
illegal, immoral, felonious moves.
I only contend that if people depend
on spendin´ their livelihood lyin´ and stealin´,
the least they can do is think it all through
and act like they have a full deck to be dealin´.
You may disagree but that´s how I´m feelin´.

Ch) If wrong is the way you´ve been earning your pay,
at least follow through in professional ways.
When wrongs are done wrong, it should move one along
to careers that belong to more righteous forays.
So speaking in a strictly professional light;
if you´re gonna do wrong, at least do it right.

A criminal may come to find
their problem´s just a state of mind.
Devise a crime that cannot fail
while killing time inside a jail.
"O.J.T." instead of bail.

Ch) If wrong is the way you´ve been earning your pay,
at least follow through in professional ways.
When wrongs are done wrong, it should move one along
to careers that belong to more righteous forays.
So speaking in a strictly professional light;
if you´re gonna do wrong, at least do it right.

S-7/30/12, Our Own Little World

Some things just happen by chance,
a look reinforced by a glance.
I took to her eyes,
now I'm out of disguise,
her world is replanting romance.
Our universe on the advance.

Ch) We’re making our own little world.
Evolution awaits as our hearts celebrate
and our dreams make realities swirl.
Creating our own little pearl.
We polish our stone with no reason to roam,
we’re at home in our own little world.

Moving my heart to her hands,
desires fulfill all demands.
Each moment we make
is a piece of our cake
created in destiny’s pan.
Our appetite sweetly expands.

Ch) We’re making our own little world.
Evolution awaits as our hearts celebrate
and our dreams make realities swirl.
Creating our own little pearl.
We polish our stone with no reason to roam,
we’re at home in our own little world.

It´s comfort designed to entice,
a product of pure paradise.
It's proper, it’s prim,
it will bend to our whims,
it's more than enough to suffice.
Our own Little World's pretty nice.

Ch) We’re making our own little world.
Evolution awaits as our hearts celebrate
and our dreams make realities swirl.
Creating our own little pearl.
We polish our stone with no reason to roam,
we’re at home in our own little world.

S-11/1/99, Rumors

Guns can kill and knives can maim
but words evoke the deepest pain.
Arsenic from trusted lips
poisoning relationships.

Ch) Rumors new, rumors old,
juicy gems of verbal gold.
For a price they’re bought and sold.
That at least, is what I’m told.

Words ignite and feed on lies
as seen from someone else’s eyes.
Tongues ablaze with all their might
burning ears within their sight.

Ch) Rumors new, rumors old,
juicy gems of verbal gold.
For a price they’re bought and sold.
That at least, is what I’m told.

In the end, if justice serves,
a rumor gets what it deserves.
Time will tell the price to pay
for rumors we let slip away.

Ch2) Rumors love, rumors hate,
at times they over-speculate.
I can’t seem to get´em straight.
Perhaps I need to “Rumor-nate”.

S-7/10/12, If Memory Swerves

My head’s being scraped by my sandpaper tongue.
I’m jogging a memory that doesn’t quite run.
My pockets are hiding some crumpled up cash
that cause me to wonder what else I have stashed.

Ch) If memory swerves, I've been drinking so strong,
there isn't a bottle where I don't belong.
One look at my life and it’s clear to observe,
I’m going in circles, if memory swerves.

I can’t find my car but I found my way home.
The keys to my memories are swimming in foam.
A flood of anxiety pinches my nerves,
I´m drowning in interest, if memory swerves

Ch) If memory swerves, I've been drinking so strong,
there isn't a bottle where I don't belong.
One look at my life and it’s clear to observe,
I’m going in circles, if memory swerves.

My body is aching from head to my toes,
with forehead on fire and reasoning froze.
Another lost weekend  is what I deserve,
I´m broke, bruised and baffled, if memory swerves.

Ch) If memory swerves, I've been drinking so strong,
there isn't a bottle where I don't belong.
One look at my life and it’s clear to observe,
I’m going in circles, if memory swerves.

S-7/24/12, Love Lands

A purveyor of passion, love is my name,
I conjure up courage, purpose and pain.
I can alter an ego, lay down a life,
float like a feather or cut like a knife.

Ch) Love lands, then expands,
understands the wants of man.
Love lands, non-demand,
never quite the way we planned.
fate awaits to see the possibilities
when love lands.

I’m as bright as a beacon when beamed on a face,
can blind intuition, cover disgrace.
I can mingle emotions, needs and desires,
fervently fanning the passionate fires.

Ch) Love lands, then expands,
understands the wants of man.
Love lands, non-demand,
never quite the way we planned.
fate awaits to see the possibilities
when love lands.

A chameleon of causes, I change on a dime,
can compromise reason losing a mind.
I´m crazed with abandon, force of the will,
make a man peaceful or coax him to kill.

Ch) Love lands, then expands,
understands the wants of man.
Love lands, non-demand,
never quite the way we planned.
fate awaits to see the possibilities
when love lands.

S-7/9/12, Email Alert

Long ago, when times were hard,
I had to pay for greeting cards.
“Instant” was a breakfast drink,
not a form of messaging.
Now that all my mail is free,
it´s time to pay my user’s fee.

Ch) Email alert, life is getting curt.
Didn’t take long to figure out
the mailman is a jerk.
Email reply, is this girl a guy,
internet spam or Son Of Sam?
All access is denied.
I weed through the dirt of email alerts.

When did all the scams I see
get wrapped up in technology?
Only stopped to take a look,
someone phishing got me hooked.
Wanted to improve my core
but paid for my free credit score.

Ch) Email alert, life is getting curt.
Didn’t take long to figure out
the mailman is a jerk.
Email reply, is this girl a guy,
internet spam or Son Of Sam?
All access is denied.
I weed through the dirt of email alerts.

Why do people seem to care
so much about that little square?
Click the box on their account
and watch the expectations mount.
Relevance revolving ‘round
their "info" at the speed of sound.

Ch) Email alert, life is getting curt.
Didn’t take long to figure out
the mailman is a jerk.
Email reply, is this girl a guy,
internet spam or Son Of Sam?
All access is denied.
I weed through the dirt of email alerts.

S-10/7/12, Dreamer’s Buffet

My thoughts were revolving in worlds of routine,
the friction of time grinds away in between.
The walls of recurrence were wearing me thin,
I had to break out to feel something within.

Ch) Making my way to the dreamer’s buffet,
it keeps inspiration from wasting away.
Listened to reason but reason had run,
my passion peers out to align with the sun.
A dreamer´s buffet in a heart full of fun.

My circular motion had turned me inside,
expanding distaste in a brain getting fried.
Redemption was reaching the end of it's rope.
I had to hang on to a thread of my hope.

Ch) Making my way to the dreamer’s buffet,
it keeps inspiration from wasting away.
Listened to reason but reason had run,
my passion peers out to align with the sun.
A dreamer´s buffet in a heart full of fun.

My emptiness broken as confidence grows,
impressions pour out from my head to my toes.
My innocence hungers to make a new start,
to dine on the dreams cooked up in my heart.

Ch) Making my way to the dreamer’s buffet,
it keeps inspiration from wasting away.
Listened to reason but reason had run,
my passion peers out to align with the sun.
A dreamer´s buffet in a heart full of fun.

S-7/27/12, Anything For A Pretty Face

Ch) I'll do anything for a pretty face,
no work of art can take their place.
To see them smile can touch a dial
converting men to juveniles.
I'll do anything for their attention,
even things I shouldn´t mention.

I would go to prom with Jack the Ripper,
feed piranha from my zipper.
Use my toaster in the tub,
give a charging bull a snub.
Anything I think or dream
I don´t believe is too extreme.

Ch) I'll do anything for a pretty face,
no work of art can take their place.
To see them smile can touch a dial
converting men to juveniles.
I'll do anything for their affections,
anything, but ask directions.

I would volunteer to climb the Rockies
with a pair of shrunken jockeys,
rock the most unsteady boat,
ballroom dance with billygoats.
Doesn´t matter what I do,
they fill my heart with gratitude.

Br) I´ll be ready when they call,
prepared to run or crawl.
At work and play they’d make my day,
at night we’d have a ball.
Anything for a pretty face,
anything conceived at all.

I would teach an elephant to prance,
stick a beehive down my pants.
Slam my finger in a door,
cane my ass in Singapore.
Emphatically I plead my case,
my everything for a pretty face.

S-12/7/12, Impervious

My fortress of solitude suffers a breach,
sensation barrages are blasting my beach.
The force of her field was too much for my shield,
her invasion has yielded new lessons to teach.

Ch) Impervious to all but one,
my staunch defenses overrun.
She captivates with lightning speed,
liberates my wants and needs.
Impervious to my extremes,
she holds my heart in quarantine.
Impervious within a dream.

I couldn't rely on what life had become,
my cold calculations were keeping me numb.
The frost in my eyes was a clever disguise
for a fool who denies what seclusion has done.

Ch) Impervious to all but one,
my staunch defenses overrun.
She captivates with lightning speed,
liberates my wants and needs.
Impervious to my extremes,
she holds my heart in quarantine.
Impervious within a dream.

I had to assume that I'd wasted my chance
to hold onto love and recapture romance.
My heart built a shell I protected so well
'til my passions compelled me to let her advance.

Ch) Impervious to all but one,
my staunch defenses overrun.
She captivates with lightning speed,
liberates my wants and needs.
Impervious to my extremes,
she holds my heart in quarantine.
Impervious within a dream.

S-7/11/18, Lie ´N Wait

Convenience has it´s price to pay,
integrity in disrepair.
It didn´t used to be this way,
there must be something in the air.

Br1) The bits are biting the bling,
a number exchanged for a thing.
The digital age is stealing the stage
while pirates are pullIng the strings.

Ch) Instantly gratified, never quite satisfied,
predators pose in the brush.
Lions come feeding on terms pre-agreed upon
after the victim is flushed.
They lie ´n wait in a dormant state
preceeded by a hushhh.

A server full of treasures flow
as waves of better judgement ebb.
Too late to fight the undertow
when caught within a wanton web.

Br2) Transactions require a trust
technology tempts to adjust.
Some greedily strive to capitalize
then hide in the settling dust.

Ch) Instantly gratified, never quite satisfied,
predators pose in the brush.
Lions come feeding on terms pre-agreed upon
after the victim is flushed.
They lie ´n wait in a dormant state
preceeded by a hushhh.

S-12/19/12, Mistaken Eyedentity

I've gazed upon eyes of many disguises,
a few seemed to be much wiser than I was.
Some were well-rounded, others held hope,
some frayed the edge at the end of my rope.

Ch) Mistaken eyedentity happening again,
I haven’t seen clearly since I don't know when.
I thought that I knew her when I looked in her eyes,
but the longer I view her, the less it applies.
Mistaken eyedentity too many times.

I've followed a course that’s conjured divorces,
leaving a trail of tearful remorses.
May be mistaken, maybe I'm right.
It may be the way to stay lonely at night.

Ch) Mistaken eyedentity happening again,
I haven’t seen clearly since I don't know when.
I thought that I knew her when I looked in her eyes,
but the longer I view her, the less it applies.
Mistaken eyedentity too many times.

Br) Love never tells me where reason has gone,
lines have been crossed and routinely redrawn.
Polarization of images fed
blinded my eyes to where compromise led.

Ch) Mistaken eyedentity happening again,
I haven’t seen clearly since I don't know when.
I thought that I knew her when I looked in her eyes,
but the longer I view her, the less it applies.
Mistaken eyedentity too many times.

S-8/25/12, Polarized

She's sending out waves I subconsciously crave,
the sound of my soul being saved.
A vacuum surrounds sensations I’ve found,
I feel like I´m floating around.

Ch) Polarized by magnetic eyes,
she pulled me in fully mesmerized.
Hypnotized by our hopes and dreams,
synchronized swimming in extremes.
Magnetized by alluring grace,
polarized in our time and space.

Desire streams out, interference in drought,
her signal is never in doubt.
Our current shines bright as conductors unite,
the power of love in our sight.

Ch) Polarized by magnetic eyes,
she pulled me in fully mesmerized.
Hypnotized by our hopes and dreams,
synchronized, swimming in extremes.
Magnetized by alluring grace,
polarized in our time and space.

Br) Her gravity opens my door
as reality loses it’s grip.
Pulsations are breaching my core
while she´s tugging my heart with her lips.
It seems we´re attached at the hips.

Ch) Polarized by magnetic eyes,
she pulled me in fully mesmerized.
Hypnotized by our hopes and dreams,
synchronized, swimming in extremes.
Magnetized by alluring grace,
polarized in our time and space.

S-7/20/12, Sunrise In Her Eyes

Gracefully, she appeared me,
her features formed from a fantasy.
I waken to her crystal eyes
whose brilliance begs my sun to rise.

Ch) There’s sunrise in her eyes
that brightens up my skies.
Just kissed me once or twice
to keep me hypnotized.
There’s sunrise in her eyes
seductively revised
to radiate and penetrate
emotional disguise.

Her beauty’s deep beneath her skin,
delicious lips invite me in.
The image of her slender waist
arising in the dreams I chase.

Ch) There’s sunrise in her eyes
that brightens up my skies.
Just kissed me once or twice
to keep me hypnotized.
There’s sunrise in her eyes
seductively revised
to radiate and penetrate
emotional disguise.

She keeps it light when weighted down,
horizons hold no hidden frowns.
A brighter day’s about to start,
I see her sun rise in my heart.

Ch) There’s sunrise in her eyes
that brightens up my skies.
Just kissed me once or twice
to keep me hypnotized.
There’s sunrise in her eyes
seductively revised
to radiate and penetrate
emotional disguise.

S-7/7/12, Cubicaves

There's people who will hide away,
who burrough down in carpet caves.
They crouch inside their little stalls
educating know-it-alls.

Ch) Another day in the Cubicaves,
leave your problems in the halls.
The nerves get frayed in a tidal wave
of unsupported service calls.
Politics and protocols,
a tightly scripted world of walls.

A desk, a phone, computer screen,
florescent lights absorbing dreams.
They plant their rears on swivel chairs
and greet the day with empty stares.

Ch) Another day in the Cubicaves,
leave your problems in the halls.
The nerves get frayed in a tidal wave
of unsupported service calls.
Politics and protocols,
a tightly scripted world of walls.

There’s people who can set aside
their selfishness, their pain and pride.
We call them up throughout the day
to help our troubles go away.

Ch) Another day in the Cubicaves,
leave your problems in the halls.
The nerves get frayed in a tidal wave
of unsupported service calls.
Politics and protocols,
a tightly scripted world of walls.

S-8/24/12, Heart Broker

The instrument of love is meant to be sublime,
when sour notes are played, my harmony can shine.
Fate is sand running through my hand,
blown by the winds of time.

Ch) I'm a heart broker, fire stoker,
motivation for the mediocre.
A connoisseur of the insecure,
a state of mind rest assured.
If a lover has broken a heart,
I can broker the start of a cure.

On desperation street, the lonely often stray
to ultimately choose my magic or dismay.
Stay or leave, nothing up my sleeve,
slight´s not a hand I play.

Ch) I'm a heart broker, fire stoker,
motivation for the mediocre.
I'm a connoisseur of the insecure,
a state of mind rest assured.
If a lover has broken a heart,
I can broker the start of a cure.

Br1) Lonesome creatures roam the halls
answering my cattle calls.
Figures they miscalculate
summing up a single state.
Providence relies on me
to mix the perfect chemistry.

Ch) I'm a heart broker, fire stoker,
motivation for the mediocre.
I'm a connoisseur of the insecure,
a state of mind rest assured.
If a lover has broken a heart,
I can broker the start of a cure.

Br2) Feelings mashed in passion pits
are mollified for retrofit.
Remnants of a broken heart
brokered for a better start.

S-1/17/13, Frozen Desert

There are times when I'm losing control,
when my life seems deserted and cold.
When flames of desire resign to expire
and I'm mired in lies being told.
I reach out from the depth of my soul.

Ch) Frozen away on the desert planes,
starlight is comforting me.
Irradiance dancing around
as crystals are kissing the ground.
It speaks without making a sound
with perceptions of higher degree.

When the world keeps me running behind,
my tranquility's frozen in time.
I break through the ice of pragmatic device
to a warm paradise in my mind.
No tellin´ what treasures I´ll find.

Ch) Frozen away on the desert planes,
starlight is comforting me.
Irradiance dancing around
as crystals are kissing the ground.
It speaks without making a sound
with perceptions of higher degree.

Br) The whispers of the stars
are burning in my ears.
their message from afar
alleviating fears.
Sensations they impart
reveal a higher plane
The frozen desert warms my heart
and melts away the pain.

Ch) Frozen away on the desert planes,
starlight is comforting me.
Irradiance dancing around
as crystals are kissing the ground.
It speaks without making a sound
with perceptions of higher degree.

S-7/3/12, Wreckin’ Eyes

Loyalty has gone astray,
destruction zone is underway.
Tales you hand me week to week
are slapping me across the cheek.
Loosely fitting alibis
undressed within your wreckin' eyes.

Ch)     I recognize those wreckin' eyes
that tell a tale so indiscreet.
I reckon I should rectify
distress connected to deceit.
Your wreckin’ eyes are balls of lies
rolling down a lonely street.

Indiscretions unaddressed
have put my patience to the test.
Shifting glances illustrate
deception you disseminate.
Chain reactions to your schemes
have cast dispersions on my dreams.

Ch)     I recognize those wreckin' eyes
that tell a tale so indiscreet.
I reckon I should rectify
distress connected to deceit.
Your wreckin’ eyes are balls of lies
rolling down a lonely street.

Eyes of sheer transparency
reveal your infidelities.
Shaky stories seem to lack
a moral compass keeping track.
I don’t need your wreckin’ eyes
to see we´re past a compromise.

Ch)     I recognize those wreckin' eyes
that tell a tale so indiscreet.
I reckon I should rectify
distress connected to deceit.
Your wreckin’ eyes are balls of lies
rolling down a lonely street.

S-12/29/12, Full Moons

I've been searching to find a more stellar existence,
a realm beyond common observational distance.
Aspirations desire celestial assistance.
Full moons shine a light on my path of persistence.

Ch) Full moons arising,
completely revising
the world that I know
as my universe grows.
Full moons are brightening,
their beacons enlightening
the sullen embrace
that has shadowed my face.
Full moons illuminate dreams to be chased.

An eclipse of regrets conjures manifestations
in timeless arrays of renewed inspiration.
From a spacial divide, I feel no limitations.
Full moons giving rise to creative sensations.

Ch) Full moons arising,
completely revising
the world that I know
as my universe grows.
Full moons are brightening,
their beacons enlightening
the sullen embrace
that has shadowed my face.
Full moons illuminate dreams to be chased.

Inclinations I feel are committed to solving
the orbiting questions that become too involving.
With my head in the clouds, all distractions dissolving.
Full moons in my eyes as my planet's evolving.

Ch) Full moons arising,
completely revising
the world that I know
as my universe grows.
Full moons are brightening,
their beacons enlightening
the sullen embrace
that has shadowed my face.
Full moons illuminate dreams to be chased.

S-7/15/12, Sumthin´ Simple

I grew up in simpler times,
a world of reason kept in rhyme.
Dreams of youth and carefree days,
of simple means and simple ways.
Fading flows of simple dreams
awash in merging data streams.

Ch) I´ve been searchin´ sumthin´ simple,
a simple way to live.
A simple fate to illustrate that sumthin´s gotta give.
Searchin´ sumthin´ simple
for someone to explain
how small machines that talk to me can stimulate my brain.
It´s simply sumthin´ that I feed the dreams I ascertain.

Scanners tell me what to pay
as email keeps me up to date.
Life, religion, politics,
answered with double-click.
Programs running on “The Drive”
are running through our daily lives.

Ch) I´ve been searchin´ sumthin´ simple,
a simple way to live.
A simple fate to illustrate that sumthin´s gotta give.
Searchin´ sumthin´ simple
for someone to explain
how small machines that talk to me can stimulate my brain.
It´s simply sumthin´ that I feed the dreams I ascertain.

Superhighways overload
my comprehension service road.
Information up-to-date
supposedly will set me straight.
Simply, I appear to be
outdated by technology.

Ch) I´ve been searchin´ sumthin´ simple,
a simple way to live.
A simple fate to illustrate that sumthin´s gotta give.
Searchin´ sumthin´ simple
for someone to explain
how small machines that talk to me can stimulate my brain.
It´s simply sumthin´ that I feed the dreams I ascertain.

S-6/25/12, High Anxiety! (Panic Attack!)

Driving down the road.
Waiting to explode.
My hand goes numb, can’t taste my tongue,
self-destructive mode.
Shaken to my soul.
Losing all control.
The air gets thin, my lights go dim,
feeling black and cold.

Ch) When my heart is pumping and my head is thumping,
phantoms crawl on my skin with conclusions jumping.
As my mind is racing and the body's pacing,
there's no doubt about the attacks that I'm facing.
High anxiety, a secret society,
my pressure point of notoriety.

Sticking to my clothes.
Copper in my nose.
The smell of fear is crystal clear,
weaknesses exposed.
Muscles feeling tense.
Lack of cognizance.
Inside a dream, I cannot scream,
nothing making sense.

Spinning as I tread.
Tingle 'round my head.
I grind my teeth, my legs are weak,
shaking silhouette.
Pounding in my brain.
Nitro in my veins.
A tongue in knots, my blood is hot,
feeling quite insane.

S-12/3/12, Pillows Of Pain

Complications pound a rhythm
resounding in my head,
a sullen tune my burst balloon
is blasting in my bed.
The sound of sadness straight ahead.

Ch) Can't stop the rain on my pillows of pain,
it falls from my eyes while it courses my veins.
Smothering feelings in sheets that I stain,
I've made my own bed under pillows of pain.
Can't rest my head on my pillows of pain.

I have always worn emotions
directly on my sleeve,
for all to see and sympathy
to pacify my needs.
A pampered ass has hollowed me.

Br) Pillows of pain ending up all the same,
my childish indulgences carry my shame.
Got to break out of a selfish domain,
relinquish the doubt seeding clouds in my brain.

Ch) Can't stop the rain on my pillows of pain,
it falls from my eyes while it courses my veins.
Smothering feelings in sheets that I stain,
I've made my own bed under pillows of pain.
Can't rest my head on my pillows of pain.

In the wake of past fiasco's,
I'm swimming in dissent
within the throes of undertows
of what became and went.
A vicious tide of discontent.

Ch) Can't stop the rain on my pillows of pain,
it falls from my eyes while it courses my veins.
Smothering feelings in sheets that I stain,
I've made my own bed under pillows of pain.
Can't rest my head on my pillows of pain.
