Lots of EPIC HYBRID/ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a super-active Production Music Library with a lot of placements on MAJOR networks!

This Library is on the hunt for Up-Tempo Instrumental Cues that are in the general stylistic wheelhouse of the following examples:

"Tensions Rising" by Matthew Carl Earl

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SISyfbPyA1s

"Ways of the Night" by Pablo Tovar

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SaKzDTJvI8

"Hell Rising" by Rok Nardin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z-DTPlbk1o

QUOTING THE CEO: "We are looking for underscore Cues that gradually build with sweeping string arrangements. These can feel neutral in the beginning, but then shift to a sense of tension and uncertainty, keeping the viewer at the edge of their seat."

Please submit well-crafted Hybrid/Orchestral Instrumental Cues that start somewhat neutral, build in tension, and end with an epic, edge-of-your-seat cinematic sound! Your submissions should have tense and gripping motifs, engaging rhythms that build throughout, cinematic strings, powerful impacts and rhythms, and dynamic arrangements with plenty of forward motion and interest. Depending on which approach you take, instrumentation can vary, but staying within the general wheelhouse of the reference tracks will work best. Please make sure any virtual instruments or samples you use are high quality and not dated-sounding. If this company hears something from you that they want to sign, there's a very good chance they'll ask you for several more tracks in this style!

TAXI Tip: Utilizing natural-sounding edit points that separate the different levels of tension and build in your track may help get this Library's attention!

All submissions should be around 1.5 to 3 minutes in length (give or take). Non-faded, Button/Stinger endings will work best. Please do NOT copy the referenced material in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split any upfront sync fees 50/50. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright. Since this is an EXCLUSIVE deal, please be sure the material you submit for this pitch is NOT already signed with other Libraries or Catalogs. Please submit as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024. TAXI # S240410BE

The drums are off from 1:12 on.

They don't sound tight. Also sounds like they aren't quantized properly. Sounds bit like free time. Sounds like you can't keep a straight line with the drums and percussions macro and micro timing wise. Also in terms of what beat to play when with the drums.

I think it has potential though. If you get a clearer idea of what the rhythm should sound like, I think you could fullfill the listing pretty good!
The strings sometimes have a weird hang/cut/break in their legato lines on the left side. Throws a bit off I think.

I hope I wasn't too mean with the feedback, just the things I hear^^.

Kind regards

I like the track, John. I think the rhythm is as mentioned an issue but IMO the smaller one than the mix and production. Often the strings sound mono on one side i.e. I think this style is all about sounds, placement and mixing. I would encourage you to go to sites like brandXmusic.com and A/B compare your mix to their music. brandx is IMO the state of the art if it comes to trailer/orchestral/hybrid stuff.

Good luck!
