Please give a listen and critique. Thanks in advance. Best! John Dale

SURF ROCK INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a NON-Exclusive Music Licensing Company that specializes in music for videographers and photographers, as well as TV shows and Film projects!
NOTE: This company hasn't requested any music from our members in several years, so this could be a really good opportunity to build a new relationship!
They’re searching for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumentals in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references:
“Dawn Patrol” by The Eliminators
“Pintor” by The Pharos
“Wipe Out” by The Surfaris
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p13yZAjhU0M
Give them well-crafted Instrumentals that are rhythmically creative, melodically captivating, and have a distinct California surf sound and style. Make sure your productions sound like a real band with solid musicianship and instrumentation that you’d hear in Surf Rock, even if you’re using Virtual Instruments. Adding real guitars played over tracks done with some Virtual Instruments will help give it a “real deal” feel.
TAXI TIP: Break out those electric guitars with tremolo if you want to get more in the stylistic wheelhouse and add some authenticity to your Instrumentals.
Your submissions should be at least 2 minutes long (give or take). Non-Faded, button/Stinger endings will work best for this pitch. Do NOT copy the referenced examples in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Genre-appropriate Broadcast Quality is needed.
This Publisher offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE 50/50 deal. You’ll get 50% of the sync fee and 100% of the Writer’s share. They’ll get 50% of the sync fee and 100% of the Publisher’s Share. You’ll keep 100% of the original Copyright and Master. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit for this. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis – Short Critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Friday, October 25th, 2019. TAXI #Y191025SR

Hi John
Sounds really good to me, had a bash at this listing last time but didn’t get any forwards so I am probably not the best person to critique.
Like the clear vibrato sound you get
All the best

Hi John
Really cool tune and great guitar playing. The thing that stands out to me as lacking a little in authenticity is the bass which is a touch robotic sounding and some of the drum fills which sound a bit mechanical. If there is a way of 'humanizing' them a touch I think it would help.
Just my two cents worth.
Great tune though!

Thank you for the comments. Now that you mentioned it, I agree about the bass a some of the drum fills. I'll do what I can to improve them. Thanks again, Brother!Mark Crozer wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 7:20 pmHi John

Cool tune!! If the bass was sequenced, you might alter the duration/length of some of the notes. That may help it feel more "human". Just a thought. Good luck with the track!
Onward and upward!

Hey John,
I liked it too. I thought the intro pulled me right to where you were headed but other than what was mentioned already, it was the distortion on the electric guitar that took me "off the sand and into the street" so to speak.
I'm a newbie on the forum for what it's worth but that's what I heard. cheers,
Tom McCormack

Hey John,
After re-reading my post I realized that it might not have been specific enough to be of any help, sorry
What I meant was that the distortion on the electric guitar sounded more current than an over driven guitar in that genre usually sounds like.
Again, great tune.
Merry Christmas,
Tom
