Turn around time...???

Post by tedsingingfox » Thu Jul 26, 2007 8:40 am

Since my last two forwardings have been for "dispatch" listings, I'm curious how much sooner (if at all) members can expect to hear any results. Got any answers for me from personal experience? Sure would appreciate it.Ted

I just got a forward for a dispatch listing. The submission deadline was 3 days ago.

Congrats on the forwards Steve and Ted!I got 3 cuts forwarded for two different Dispatch listings in March to the same company. They called me about a month later. Not sure if this is typical but I hope it helps a little.Mazz

Hey, Steve. Thanks for the reply. But apparently, I wasn't clear about my question. Maybe this is closer...So, if I've been forwarded for a dispatch listing, does that also mean that contracts could be signed in a few months, rather than the year or two it can take for "regular" listings? Is that a better way to verbalize my actual inquiry? Thanks, again.Ted

Not your fault. As for how long it'll take, you simply have gotten in the door. Can you still write songs while you're holding your breath? 'cause it might take a while. SuperMazzForward gets great results all the time, because he's just so gifted. Maybe you are too!

Ha! We can only hope, Steve. I'm 50 yrs old. I've been working towards this since I was 14. so believe me, getting in the door is HUGE ... all by itself.Hopefully I'll have good news to post soon and we can start a turnaround time graph. Deal?Ted

Thanks, Liam. All I know how to do is what I'm doing and keep believing. And keep writing.
