Does anyone know if we are or aren't allowed to video the Road Rally classes?
I'm sure there will be a few clashes where there are 2 things on at the same time that I want to get to. It would be good if a few people took video cameras so that we could cover the class clashes.
I am contemplating bringing a small digital video camera and a small tripod.

Re: Video Cameras at RR Classes?
Just a guess... but for the ballroom events, probably not. For the individual classes - that might be up to the individual instructor. This is one of the cases where it would NOT be better to "ask for forgiveness rather than permission" .. so posting the question here is a good and proper start. ADMIN should reply, I trust.

I took video in the ballroom, my last Rally; get there early and get an aisle seat down front, if possible. I took an ultralight tripod. Breakout classes, you just clear it with the instructor beforehand; some will offer video for sale; obviously you don't want to compete-settle for audio if that's all that's allowed. Most don't mind the little handy recorders or phones, just make sure you have permission.

Re: Video Cameras at RR Classes?
Thanks Mojobone.
I ended up leaving the camera at home and I'm glad I did! There's already enough to juggle between CDs, notes, the ballroom schedule, the class schedule, line ups for mentor lunches etc etc.
Cheers,
Glenn
