Hello from the Netherlands

Hello,
I became a member of TAXI last week and I just wanted to say hi and share my thoughts with you.
It's nice to read all about the songwriting business on this forum and blogs and I've noticed that Taxi works good for me, for it's keeping me focussed. Deadlines totally works for me. I can easily spent months without writing and after that period I always blame myself for being so lazy! It's a real pity, for (shame on me!) I even won an award for 'Best Talent' Songwriter BUMA (Dutch ASCAP) at the end of 2009. (The contest was writing a song for Eva Simons #Afrojack). Did have a few dissappountments after that and that almost stopt my writing.
For quite a few years I knew of the existence of Taxi but never applied. So now I did! And the day I became a member I started writing a track. It's called "Awakening" (In memoriam of my mums dear friend Truce from Texas. She died last week.) I finished recording it today and put it on my Taxi profile-page (and soundcloud as well).
I don't know why I've waited so long to become a member. But now I'm happy I finally did!
