If you guys and gals are doing multiple cues in a certain genre (i.e. rock, inde-folk, pop)? Anyone care to speak on if they treat each cue with
different drum kits (VI's if used), amp settings and so forth, or do you use the same tools and just use mostly eq and effects to get a different feel?
As for me, I have a habit of using all different settings, and was just wondering if going the other route is more beneficial for a more "album" like cohesive sound?

I tweak things a lot, and sometimes even use a different kit depending on how the song feels. Though, typically a band recording in the studio will be using mostly the same kit.

I work in the box electronically with VSTi and such. So I tend to create multiple versions using different patches in my synths... or different synths. Sometimes different drum sounds as well. This, however, often does require remixing with new balances and EQ's and FX.

If a multiple-version is something like "Up the Stairs" and "Up the Stairs (no guitar)" Then that is more like stems and I don't make any mix changes.

That's cool how you operate things. I read in one of your other posts that you pretty much mix as you track......I do that too, but I think it might work better for you than me

I've been trying to use Massive to its fullest. (I know. Call me crazy) Is there a way to go get more than one sound out of it at a time?

Or do I need to keep continuing to open up a new Massive synth?

I was trying to assign sounds to a MIDI channel. But that didn't work.
