Newbie from Wales saying hello

As a newbie here who is considering joining TAXI I wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am a singer-songwriter and guitarist, poet, author (Herbs of the Northern Shaman) and freelance writer from Cardiff in Wales but now based in Portugal.

My real name is Steve Andrews but my stage name is Bard of Ely, a title I was given by Big Issue magazine when I was a columnist for it. I have also become known as Green Beard and Green Bard because I started wearing a green goatee back in 2003.

I have had quite a bit of success in the past with my music and have played and MCed at Glastonbury (Avalon stage) and the Green Man festivals, had my song You're a Liar, Nicky Wire rave reviewed once in the NME when it was released fronting an EP on Crai and had songs broadcast on the radio and used on TV shows, including The Slate (BBC Wales), Y Ty (S4C) and Family Affairs (Channel 5).

The problem is I have never found that elusive "big break" and never managed to make enough money for my needs from gigs, sales of releases or royalties. Having moved away from the UK at the end of 2004 to Tenerife and then Portugal it has got a lot worse when it comes to my earnings from music and I have been supporting myself with money I earn as a writer. I am currently thinking about ways of getting my music really happening for me and that has brought me here.

I have a Wikipedia entry - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Andrews

A big hello to Portugal then. Swaped the UK rain for some sun ;-) Well, sure original with your beard. Your Wiki says you're still based in the Canaries by the way. Good luck with Taxi and looking forward to hear your reports about hopefullly some success on it.
