How to upload & replace avatar photo?

A bit of Seenyor-Momentitis here... I managed to have a photo here once upon a time... until today, when I deleted it,
thinking I knew how to replace it with something more current - as many of the Forums Folks have - leading up to the Road Rally.
All that blathering to ask - (wish this was also in the FAQs) - how to? (I don't have Facebook).
In advance; thanks. And, I am already aware of the required 90x90 pixels/6KB specs.

Easy way that worked for me... upload your photo to TAXI via your profile page. Right click and get link of new uploaded photo. Paste link in taxi forum user control panel under Profile, Avatar

Hey gang:
My avatar, too, disappeared and trying to replace it has been a serial nightmare.
Dropbox, Link to TAXI photo... nothing is working, despite my image being well within the 6KB/90px guidelines.
Anybody else experiencing this?

Problem solved, for now!
It seems that the solution in this case was merely to try many different third-party hosting sites,
'til one worked. (in this case, imgur.com)

I have spent three hours trying to upload an avatar. A horrible experience!
