Hi Everybody!

Hope you all had a great year.

My name is Tom and I've been submitting to Taxi for the past year. I'm from the U.K but recently moved to France.

Last year I was finishing my Music degree whilst working nights at a casino, so I only submitted when I had free time. I submitted roughly 40 submissions with a 40% forward rate.

I haven't had any offers but I'm really enjoying the process of writing to briefs. Through Taxi, I have written more songs in the past year than the previous three years of university combined!

I've written maybe 90% instrumental listings alongside 10% of songs and covers. I would love to sing and write top line more but listening critically for producing my own vocals is a weakness of mine.

Over the past month, I have been watching a lot Taxi TV episodes and seeing the replay chat, I'd love to get involved in the community.

It sounds like you're doing great! I watched a couple of your YouTube videos, very very nice!

Although I haven't heard your instrumentals, IMO you have a great voice. I suggest you try more vocal submissions, and don't worry about critiquing yourself, the Taxi screeners will give you the best feedback.

You might think about including links to YouTube, your Taxi Page, Soundcloud, etc ... in your Taxi Forum signature.

I hope you'll use the Forum regularly, most people find that it accelerates their progress.

I think that would be great, I've had a soft spot for most of the references on the Christmas listings recently! haha
