How to add pic to forum profile

I haven't been here in quite some time but...I want to add a pic to my profile here, but it only gives me some avatar option. not quite sure I understand. Any suggestions? thanks! Michelle

If my tutorial seems to go by too fast you can always slow it down and/or pause through each step!

I put my avatar on google pics. Big Feak feat for me right there. I don't think I have the pixels right. Having my granddaughter try this tomorrow. yur the best bud

I tired using links to a picture hosted elsewhere but could never get it to work. This was especially true if the URL did a redirect. And if you tried to use the URL that the redirect went to, it was too long. I gave up and used the "gravatar" method where you create an account on that site and host the picture there.
