I've been real damned busy being me, and for far too long. Not to put too fine a point on it, but I've been rudderless, since my mother passed. I don't get points for not taking it out on other people, but I've struggled to come up for air. I have a certain perspective on life and work, for some reasons. I lost half my nuclear family suddenly and violently before I graduated high school, but that's just circumstance. What I'm saying is it shaped me, but losing the only consistent presence in my life for over fifty years gutted me, and it's taken some time and some serious health concerns to slap me sensible. Totally understand Mojo, so sorry to hear of your loss. Sounds like we've traveled similar paths, lost my dad unexpectedly in '99, then my mom unexpectedly in '19. We all cope in different ways, do what you need to do, and reach out at any time. Tons of friends around here that care about you.

I have schizophrenia so my mind is always picking up stuff. Your message to all of us was so heartfelt, I think you captured it in the first line you wrote..."Too Damned Busy Being Me." (paraphrasing).
