Simon Pratt - New here :)

Hi everyone,

I am fairly new to Taxi and recently at a Zoom event I was told it was highly beneficial to join the forum and introduce myself. I haven't been on a forum in about 15 years so this feels quite new and different which is nice :).

My name is Simon Pratt, I am based in Guildford in England and I am 34. My speciality is guitar playing and have spent the majority of my career in teaching and writing books and demo'ing guitars for Taylor Guitars. It has always been my dream to have some music I had written end up in sync music so I am working to try and make that happen. This seems like such a friendly place!

I know how busy everyone is here, so here is a 60 second clip of my playing, demo'ing one of Taylor's guitars.

If people need guitar stuff I am around.

Look forward to making some friends here. As it can be a little lonely sometimes!

Thanks for the opportunity to write.

Simon

From The Peanut Gallery (in reasonable proximity to the Taylor Guitar Factory)...
welcome to these forums; and, as one already wrote: nice playing.

My brother's Taylor got ran over by a car, any chance I could get a replacement? Haha, kidding of course, I know you meant guitar work.

Very impressive playing and sound! Just make loads of that and you'll do fine - no need for Taxi :).
Haha well I don't really have any contacts so I am just trying to make a few. Happy to hear any advice you have though! I appreciate you writing such kind words thank you!

Super cool! Californian or Mexican Factory? Although I think they are quite close I have not been. A long way for me.

Thanks for such kind words!

Thank you! I will check out that one.

Haha! I wish I could hand out Taylor's that would legitimately be the coolest job ever! Sorry to hear it got run over though. Guitar death. Yikes :/
