How I approach cues - my process, strategies, & tips

Hey everyone, I just finished the last video in my "MUSIC 101" series on YouTube, which includes about 20 videos on every little tip, trick, and strategy I use when creating instrumental cues. From things like simplicity, to edit points, to lead-ins, to sting endings, to my typical "work horse" arrangement style, to overall length, to typical BPM's, all the way down to how I title my music (and why). It's all here, and hopefully you find it helpful and can put some of it to use right away.

It's all free - no paywalls, no subscriptions, no membership fees. You just gotta put up with me yammering about music creation, haha. But if you like what you see and find it useful, please subscribe to the channel (which is also free)!

Next up, I'll start on my "MUSIC 201" course, which will be about the mentality you need to have to achieve long-term success in this business. And after that will be "MUSIC 301", which will be about the business end of this world. But for now, if you just want some tips on composition and / or have been getting returns on your cue submissions, maybe this will help:

Very helpful! Shared this with a few people since I get tons of questions about this but am a topliner/vocalist. Thanks!

The topics that will be discussed as part of the 201 and 301 modules are absolutely fundamental in understating the production music game. Sure, knowing how to compose a piece of music for use in film & TV is essential, but learning to have the right mindset and knowing how to manage the business side of it are paramount concepts
