Hello everybody.

My name is Jesse and I'm real happy to join this community. From what I can tell it feels professional and supportive.

I'm a composer, performer and band-leader professionally. My main professional focus has been a project called Tin Pan, New Orleans Jazz and Blues. With that project I've toured extensively and have 8 albums. In it I write, play trumpet, and sing. Singing in front of people is the best. It's really my happy place as I'm a story teller and have a big energy on stage. I love it.

As a composer, I did a few short films back in the day and now am beginning the process of getting into sync.

I work in Logic on a Mac.

Here's a link to one of my recent productions so you can see where I'm at with that end of things:
"We Gonna Gonna"

And here's a youtube clip that a fan made of one Tin Pan's songs that has 1.8M views! Evening

Greetings & Welcome to these forums;
from a longtime 'lurker in The Peanut Gallery'.
Do you like to sing "Crooner" style, too (i.e. Sinatra, et al)?
Cheers, Peter

Hi Peter,

That crooner style is such a different skillset. I started my singing career busking out in the open air with out a mic so my technique is about producing large amounts of sound. I had a great vocal coach who hipped me to the fact that if there is a bit of gravel in the voice, it actually cuts a bit better because it throws off some more high harmonics - exactly like a saturation pedal would.

Learning to get right up on the mic and do the velvety stuff is still a new thing for me. I would love to have that sound in my toolbox at some point, though. I don't have that much experience with it.

Cheers to you! And thanks for the welcome.
Jesse
