Guy Chevalier intro...and apology
Posted: Tue Mar 09, 2010 7:38 pm
Hi everyone, my name is Guy Chevalier. I am from the eastern part of Canada, I live in a suburb area north of Montreal. I play the guitar and bass but I appreciate all instruments. My goals are pretty much the same as every body here, making music in my home recording studio and then... who knows? I used to work with a song writer before but he sadly past away in 2007, I've decided to write instrumental music instead. Although I have not yet finish one instrumental piece, I think I'm in the right direction.
I have been a Taxi member for almost a year an a half and have been listening in for about two years. I am very impressed with the music I've heard and even more so with the kindness and honesty of the people that form this unique family. I did a clumsy attempt of introducing myself the other day on the Peer To Peer section (the art of mixing) and perhaps came on too strong, complaining about how hard it is to make quality recordings and demanding people's help. I want to apologize for that. It was selfish on my part. I guess being stuck in my own bubble for so long, I forgot my good manners. (I wasn't raised that way
)
I want to thank Vicky for opening my eyes and reminding me that I live in a society and that in fact I am not alone here, unless I choose to be.
Cheers!

P.S. I have listened to a lot of good music on this panel but never got involved. I'll try to put my grain of salt in the future although my area of expertise is limited.
