hey folks....I work with TAXI on post-Rally PR each year, and I could use a quote from anyone willing to offer one on their experience at the Rally...just simple 1-2 liner would suffice. We put together a panelist quote sheet each year and it's used on TAXI's website but would love to get a handful of member quotes too. Thanks!

Hey Michael,
I'm usually not one who gets quoted often, but here's my attempt
"I have been to 3 Road Rallies, and they keep getting better. The amount of networking I have done with other musicians and industry professionals has grown exponentially with each Rally, which not only helps me establish important relationships in the music business, but also gains me lifelong friendships. Each year there is a wealth of useful knowledge that everyone can benefit from, whether you're an artist, musician, songwriter, singer, lyricist or composer. And the fact that it's all FREE is unbelievable!"

There's nothing like the TAXI Road Rally -- it's the best deal around if you want to further your music career. We've been to just about every music industry event and it's still our all-time favorite. We had to miss the TAXI Rally in 2003, and we vowed to never miss it again. We've kept that promise!

This is a relationship business. I never really "got" that until I attended my first Road Rally six years ago. The Road Rally has helped me establish relationships with fellow composers and industry people that I never would have met otherwise, and those relationships have not only benefited my career, but have helped spawn lifetime friendships. I feel richer every year when I return from the Road Rally because of the deepening of friendships from the past and the new relationships that are born there. Being a composer can be a lonely life, and just knowing that my friends are out there doing the same thing makes me feel just a little less lonely. The panels and classes are awesome and are alone worth the trip, but for me, those relationships are what keep me coming back year after year. Thanks TAXI for providing that fertile ground for nurturing community and support. See you next year!

Every year I come to the Rally with more placements than the year before and I leave with more of everything I need to make the next year even better!

After meeting some new friends at the Road Rally, we established a small writer's group to support one another on our musical journeys. Spread out around the U.S. and Europe, we all meet together via Skype every two weeks to catch up, support and push each other towards our goals... The Rally isn't just about education, it's about connecting with people from all walks of life who are traveling the same path as you. And if you stumble, there's always a willing hand to help pick you up...

The Taxi Rally is the epitome of what's right in the music biz -- the open-hearted , generous sharing of knowledge by fellow composers and seasoned industry pros and the wealth of opportunities to learn, grow and enjoy authentic community make this yearly event a most nourishing and rewarding way to hone one's craft and cultivate lifelong friendships and collaborations.
The Rally is my yearly Music and Love infusion!
