Let's say you are single and decided to try speed dating. You know the drill. You get 5-8 minutes with each of many potential dates. Each time the bell rings, you move on to the next. Assume you are allowed to ask up to 5 questions.

What would your speed dating questions be? Let's play!

Not that I need speed-dating anymore - my finance, Hua, is presently enroute to the US Consulate in China for her visa interview - the final step in her coming to the US. If it goes well, she may be here by Valentine.s Day!!

But to the point: I'd mush the five together into one one question: "A relationship is like a wheel with five spokes: mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and economic. The center of the wheel is communication. Tell me about those things in YOUR life: your values, your needs, your priorities and preferences, etc."


PS. Clearly, this reveals why I've been single for the last dozen years. But it also says a LOT about Hua, too.

Ha...not sure this would help, but I'd ask basic yes/no questions like:

Do you have a job?

Do you have a car?

Do you have a good relationship with your exes?

(If he answers yes to all of the above...my obvious next question would be..."Are you gay?" lol)

Do you have kids?

Have you ever been married?

Do you have a police record?

Are you sane? lol


Gotta get the necessary questions out of the way. I mean come on....you only have like 5 minutes, right? You ain't got time for someone's life story.

"Wanna blow this Popsicle stand and go have sex?"

Maybe that's why I never had any dates!
