As a new member to the Taxi forum, I just want to introduce myself and say "hi".I hope to contribute when I can, and learn from y'all as well.Short Bio:I have been involved in, and making my living from music for the last 20 years.I started out teaching guitar when I was 15 years old and haven't looked back.In the beginning I was influenced by the artist/producer/songwriter Todd Rundgren and of coarse the Beatles.Favorite guitar player: Jeff Beck and Jimi. --- I love all kinds of music that is written, produced, performed and engineered well.I have owned recording equipment from a very early age and have since owned and operated a 6000 square foot multi-room production/recording studio in Boston MA. Over the years I have worked with a ton of talented musicians from the relatively unknown artist just starting out, to very high profile million selling artist. Like all things related to music and life, there is always something to learn and share with everyone.2 Years ago my youngest son came down with a medical issue which made me re-evaluate things and sort of refocus my life and career. My son is doing much better now after a couple of procedures by some very talented surgeons.I ended up selling my studio business a couple years ago as well and built a mastering studio very close to my house so I can be around more, but still be involved in music and making it sound better, which is what I love to do.Cheers, Tom Waltz

Hi Tom, and welcome! I assume most of the pictures on your website are from the 6000 sq ft recording studio. Beautiful, and it looks like you had some great success, from an experience standpoint at the very least. Glad to hear you're continuing with a focus on mastering as well. I do contract audio engineer work myself, on top of my aspiration (read: obsession) for succeeding as a songwriter/producer. Glad to meet you!Talk to ya later,Tommy

It is much appreciated. While the pics of the mastering room and new building are up to date. I do have to get around to swapping out some more of the pics on the site. Cheers.
