Please allow myself to introduce...myself

My name is Johnny B. I signed up with taxi in October. I am 28 from Louisiana and have been playing guitar going on 18 yrs. I always focused on song writing, (not solos and shredding), playing by ear and tablature. I just started learning to read actual music notation as I have been studying music theory over the last few months in hopes to broaden my versatility and strengthen the skills I have already learned. I actually have already posted both of my forward successes on the forwards forum but felt I should probably introduce myself. Thanks to everyone who replied to my posts!!! This is defintely the most positive and friendly/inviting forum I have been apart of. Please feel free to check out my songs at www.taxi.com/johnnyb333 and let me know what ya think!! All criticism and compliments more than welcome. On a side note, you might notice I follow my name with the number 333, this is a number I have seen consistently all my life. So much so I have tattooed it on my right forearm with the belief that it is a sign, and hope someone will see it and enlighten me. If it means anything to anyone else please let me know. I know, kinda strange, but it's important to me.DO IT UP!!!!!

Thanks devin. Yeah, those are my vox on "Pin Stripes" and "Rx Airlines" (vocal mix). I don't feel my vox are my strong point at all so I don't apply them often. Usually the music inspires the lyrical ideas for me, they stand alone just fine. But other times the lyrics inspire the music and I feel compelled to handle up!

Thank you Dave. I think the hairs on my head are numbered at this point as well, so I figure if I am gonna do it, I'll make it a party.

I can't imagine what "Frank The Farmer" looks like based on the music I heard but I think I found a picture of his awesome tractor...Frank could do some major damage with that thing! Glad you're here...Dave

I welcomed you to the forums on one of your forwards posts, but since you started a more "formal" thread, I thought I'd say hello over here as well. As you've already noted, this is a very friendly and inviting forum. I'm sure you'll enjoy it here, and I personally am glad to have another rocker who's not afraid to throw down some monster riffs - Big Blueps - love the Austin Powers quote
