Hello David and Welcome. Enjoyed listening to some of your music. Great guitar playing and I think I could hear a little bit of Steely Dan influence on "Gotta Play". I think my favorites were "Grandstand", "Gotta Play" and "Respect" but that is just my personal preference. Once again welcome and best of luck to you.Kurt

Hey, Thanks for replying guys. Actually I can't take credit for the writing of those songs. "Gotta Play" we recorded live in Spain with Brian Jackson, it's his song. Brian jackson was the guy who co-wrote the first 6 or 7 albums with Gil Scott-Heron and then went on to tour with Kool and the Gang, recording that famous keyboard line on "Celebrate" Grantstand is a Grant Green tune which we (Fast3) did on our new album which is a tribute to him... he's a hero of ours.. and of course respect is respect!

And "Fast3 Grantstand" on your MySpace site is the reason I don't submit for jazz listings anymore. WOW! Great stuff. I think you'll find your Taxi ride to be smooth and rewarding. Welcome to Taxi and the forum. Later,Dave

Hi David and Welcome! I checked out your songs and I really dig Phat Fred. Great bass lines and that one would certain get the room hopping!!!! You could possibly even get 'em moving in a Hip Hop club with that one. Perhaps that's a stretch, but I am thinking positive!!!

Yeh, Phat Fred tends to get people moving. We play alot in a place called Jamboree here in BCN, they do live music and then Hip Hop after.. weve had people MC with us too in France.. the link between Hip Hop and Funk/Jazz is very close.
