Introducing Myself
Hello fellow passengers!
Just wanted to be polite and do a proper introduction-
Me: I'm a 24-year-old singer-songerwriter, DJ, and wanna-be-producer, from Denmark. I have been writing "for myself" on and off for about 2-3 years, and now want to step it up, by collaborating, joining TAXI (soon), and getting some cuts.
My music: I write contemporary popular music, hit songs, but definitely not limited to a certain genre of music or production style, as long as it has some popular/commercial appeal. And although I do know how to create an acceptable production draft, melody, lyrics, and song form are without a doubt my strongest assets.
Right now I'm working on improving my lyrics, and writing a lot of new stuff, which I'll have up in a couple of weeks. In the meantime you can listen to some of my instrumental backing tracks/drafts on http://soundcloud.com/djrndre
My role in the forum: I am definitely looking to collaborate, in one way or another, and contribute to the community as much as possible.
Other than that, I'm really excited to meet all of you, and hopefully hear some of your tracks!

Re: Introducing Myself
Hi Rndre, happy to meet you.
I listened to your instrumental tracks. Outstanding. Looking forward to hearing your songs.
We were in the Europop world for awhile. Mostly house style. Had some remixes making the circuit.
Tamberlain and Djon did this one http://www.mimiandteft.com/video.html?vidId=8
Bonn Lewis did this one http://www.mimiandteft.com/video.html?vidId=7
I love to hear the different interpretations.
The original is on our Taxi page - Immortal
As I'm sure you know, pop has a whole different connotation there than in the US. We've turned to the "dark side"
and are working in the US version more. Much luck to you and wings to your music. I'll pass your info along to Teft.

Hej RnDré,
Cool to see a fellow Dane i the Taxi forums! I've been a Taxi member, and been lurking in the forums for a while, and have met collaborators, and musicians/producers to network with for the future, along with excellent advice from experienced writers/producers, so it's definitely worth while to dive in!

Re: Introducing Myself
Thanks guys!
Yes, my music is very Euro-sounding, which is what I'm aiming at (currently). I've worked with a couple of local producers to get my tracks produced, but it never sounds right, i.e. like I heard it in my head, or adds anything useful to the song, so I usually end up trashing the project entirely.
So now I've taken up the (immense?) task of producing the tracks myself. It's a ton of work but also fun at the same time. Plus it also furthers my songwriting skills measurably, in a way no writing at the piano could ever do for me.
Cheers and best of luck to all of you as well!
