Fandalism?

So, I keep getting requests to sign up/add Fandalism to my Facebook page (mostly from fellow TAXI members)... haven't seen any use of it yet, and I'm usually wary of adding apps to FB as well. Is it worthwhile?

I've also been resisting, ever since the requests came flying out at me like bats from a fireplace.

One way I can see it's use is to find and connect with other musicians in your local area (or any other area of the world!). If you are gathering a band, a fast-call team, or just need the occasional hook up, that could be very useful.. there's all kinds of musicians on, so it works sort of like a big musicians directory.

I think the original definition of fandalism was when, for example, people at your show spill beer on the bass cabinets speakers, trip over all the cables coming out of your guitar's rack effects damaging the inputs or getting really drunk and just blatantly throwing bottles at your head.

I generally tend to resist FB apps, too; most are time wasters, but I feel that this one could be useful because it's NOT an open group, someone has to nominate/invite you. That might account for some of the viral growth; Fandalism is strictly musician to musician, so far.
