Regarding the documentary placement offer.........

I live in Tennessee so I lean to the right politically, which is normally what you do if you live in Tennessee. Just getting that out there for full disclosure..........The documentary that wanted my song was sponsored by an extreme leftist organization who's not-quiet-stated goal is to basically tear down capitalism. I know there are probably a lot of left leaning, high-quality people on here so I don't intend to go all political. But let's face it, we ain't gonna get paid for jack squat in the music industry if a group like this were to have its way. I mean it's hard enough to get paid as it is.Another point, the licensing fee was not that huge so I don't want to come off as holier than thou or anything because I can be bought but it would cost a LOT more than what they were willing to pay. I can look the other way, but they better be lining my pockets.The music library should have had me sign the agreement to rep my songs prior to telling me about the project. I think the other music library agreements I have signed pretty much say that your music can be licensed for basically anything other than porn.

I didn't know that there were that many groups around who are still trying to tear down capitalism as a goal!If the money isn't worth it, and there is no tangible benefit to you, then why sign? It sounds like it will annoy you, knowing your music is associated with a documentary that you disagree with.
